Course Curriculum Overview

5

Anyone getting into this course has gone through extreme hardwork if u are not from reserved category Mbbs is full of practical knowledge and mbbs from nrs gives u alot practical experience than any colleges as there is high patient load

Internships Opportunities

5

After 4.5 years of mbbs we have toh do 1 year of internship in which we get stipend of 30-31 k per month. Nrs has the highest patient load of all colleges in west bengal It has most hectic internship duties with 24 or 48 hours of duty

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester it is like 6k around total fees would be around 50k ..it is same for all categories and additional cost of food around 6 k every month depends upon what u eat ....u can get scholarship from various programs of government if u are eligible

Campus Life

5

Each year we hai ecstasy which is annual fest of nrs, held around Oct usually We have all medical books in library which is issued by library card We have only apolitical students grp that is nrsmch student council We have too many sports competition for cricket badminton table tennis etc

Hostel Facilities

3

We have to share room with seniors which has its pros and cons Hostel is bit old Food quality is overall good Hostel fees is negligible like 12 rs or something I don't remember exactly Rented room near clg is bit expensive around 5 k per month

Admission

I was expecting to get ipgmer kolkata but i didn't got it even the cutt off was 650 and my marks was also 650 . Only benefit of ipgmer was of better hostel. But nrs is better overall as it has no politics and more to learn in internship

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is too good compared toh other state colleges. Some department are strict in attendance and some are not . Very few people get supply around 10 out of 250 approx . Almost all teachers are polite

Interview Experience

5

Need to clear neet and get around 7k rank for general category to get seat. For u need to prepare very strongly U should have gone through ncert thoroughly and prepared competitively for it Syllabus is of 11 and 12 class

Night Life

5

There is timing for hostel in first year mainly for girls other can get out at any time they want It is safe around the campus at night as it is crowded at night also Library is closed at 8 pm and closed on holidays We have mai eating spots near clg

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
