One of the best medical colleges in West Bengal

I have only good remarks about my college. Believe me, within few days this college will be your most favorite place.

MBBS is 5.5 yrs including one year compulsory internship. There is a total of 9 semesters. Small weekly or monthly exams ( so-called items or parts) are taken by some departments like Anatomy physiology pharmacology PSM. The total syllabus and exam structure is set by MCI to they are the same as other medical colleges. Mostly they are clinics oriented. U can involve in research activities like project presentation etc with the help of the professors of respective departments. But at the ug level, u will get very little time for those activities as the syllabus is huge. As wards and clinics are started from the second year so yeah it helps in making u a good clinician. Here also our communication skills with the patients will increase.

The internship is hectic. Too much patient load. It has one advantage (clinical exposure is much more and our skills will improve ) and one disadvantage (u will not get time to prepare for the pg entrance exam that year). The stipend is 22700/. After the internship, u have 3 choices... First of all: u can join as house Stuff with salary more than 35k .... secondly u can go for peripheral service with a salary or u can go for pg. These choices r the same in almost every medical college of wb.

First of all the fresher's welcome party organized by 3rd-semester students. The next one is our cultural fest CRUX ( this will be memorable for the rest of its life). Others are Saraswati puja, picnic, foundation day celebration, tt tournament, cricket tournament carrom tournament.

Per semester 4500/. So yearly 9000/ and hostel fees 12/month. In the first year during admission, u have to pay 6000 rupees. As it is a government college so the fee structure is not very high. Now for food monthly expenditure is 5000-10000. Also, u have to buy books.

No, I have not. But there are scholarships for financial support of the students whose family income is very less. U can go to the Dean office at the academic building for details.

Campus life: Actually from 8 am to 4 pm u have to spend in the lecture theatre or inwards or in OPDs. Now during tiffin time u can go to the common room, play carrom or tr. Doctors canteen is famous in Sskm that provides u delicious food. There is one artificial pond with fountain, 2 gardens, one sports ground. Sometimes u can bunk boring lectures and go to Central library on the 7th floor of the academic building. If ur a hosteller u can walk freely within the campus ... believe me, u will love this. Students take part in different cultural events in different college fests. We have our own cricket and football team. There is a badminton court in the Pgt hostel campus. This college is the cleanest of all medical colleges in WB. And this is the only medical college that is completely RAGGING free. Gender ratio: 5:2 or 5:3 varies. Labs: are well-equipped and our college has the best infrastructure according to the survey. Sports: cricket , football, badminton,tt,carrom. Competitions: yeah there are a lot of students who participate in CCP poster presentations in different seminars. They also take part in debates, medical quizzes, etc. Cultural side is getting stronger day by day.

12 per month. There is a total of 3 hostels. One is a new MBBS boys hostel in the Pgt hostel campus. The rooms are a little bit small but very clean; each room accommodates 2 students. There is a canteen on the ground floor. Food is ok (in Hostel u can never gel delicious food???? ) There is Pgt hostel canteen. Here food quality is good enough. This hostel is 3 min from academic building. The hostel campus is clean and very quiet... U will love it. Now on one side of the academic building, there is a girls hostel. Rooms are big..very clean ...and really too good. And the third one is the main hostel... This hostel is for interns and house stuff. One side is for girls and one side is for boys. Main hostel canteen food is good. Hostel facilities are really good I think u will like it.

We r trying to make an alumni association very soon. As in our college MBBS started late in 2004. Seniors even Pgt dadas didis are too much helpful. But due to lack of a student union (for a political reason), senior junior interaction is a little bit less as compared to other medical colleges.

Actually, I entered into the college through Wbjee medical 2015. In that year neet was not there. So I have chosen NO in the previous question as there is no option of wbjee medical. I scored 164/250 and my rank was 604. Now come to the answer to the question. The admission procedure is a totally online basis. Visit wbmcc.nic.in and mcc.nic.in. U will get all the details. The verification of documents is held at RG Kar medical college. During the admission procedure, u will be informed about the schedule.

Academic is top notch except FSM (due to lack of faculty members. Total 4 teachers are there till now). Some departments are like ?? like Anatomy physiology pharmacology microbiology PSM ENT medicine surgery and peads. Rest of the departments are good. Actually, as professors are transferred from one college to another so academic in the same almost in every college.
