Course Curriculum Overview

These curriculum provides lot of scope in handling the patient and lot of researches,this prepare us for real world applications or further academic pursuits Area of improvement: more clinical orientation needed for students rather than just slide reading

Internships Opportunities

After 4.5 years of study we have to give bond service to West Bengal govt ....basic salary of which is around 42k per month after that there has oppertunity for house staffship job for 6 months which is selected based on last 4.5 years proffs exam marks ...

Fees and Financial Aid

Total 4.5 years course and 9 semesters... each semester fees is 4500 rupees and there are 4 professional exam ,fees of each is 1800 rupees during admission tution fees 1000 and hostel fees 125 rupees per year Svmcm scholarship is available for the students who secured more than 60 percentage score in last exam and aikashree scholarship for minorities

Campus Life

Asterica is our annual cultural festival Various foreign as well as indian standard books for medicine etc available in our central library, our college also provides opportunities for the students who are interested in sports

Admission

I applied all medical colleges of West Bengal and got selected in college of medicine and sagore dutta hospital My preference was for kolkata college and sagore dutta is near to Kolkata and my rank was enough to get a seat in this college

Faculty

Some departments have very low faculty members but they are very good to approach I like most the pharmacology department, every teacher is helpful I don't like microbiology department because they are not student friendly

Night Life

The college is located on BT roadside so easily student can go to gym , cafeteria, public areas,metros etc Hostel closes at 10 pm daily and opens around 6am , Emergency opens 24 hrs Inside college campus,near cancer building a garden is situated,best for hanging with friends

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Best medical College in west bengal

Placement Experience:

If you can pass the exam that is very tough to pass if you're not serious at all, you'll be able enough to get into any nursing home or you can start treating people staring your own clinic. After 4.5 years you get the internship program that is mandatory to do for all where you get a salary of 32000 per month which is highest among all states . If you manage to be in the top 100 students of the batch of 250 you get one year job in the same hospital with a fees of 50000 and just 48 hours duty per week. If you do nursing home you can get around 70-90k per month based on how much you spent time on work .

My review about IINR

I applied for other colleges like..job charnok college of nursing, B.m birla college of nursing, and IQ city college of nursing and IINR ( my current college) , from them I choose IINR for their competative less fees structure from other colleges I rejected job charnok as it was away from my home town and in B.m birla I did not get the chance of admitted. My admission was in mop up round in IINR. Moreover its a private nursing college Admission is done on rank basis who appeared for entrance exam of BC nursing by West bengal joint entrance board And Gnm admission is done by marks ANM and GNM entrance examination also conducted by West bengal joint entrance board Over all admission experience is good...and admission process is very fair....Read More
