All about Santiniketan Medical College

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

I dont know about internship till now. Because we are the first batch of this college. And now we are in 3rd prof part 1. So, we dont know about internship. But according to Government rule, minimum 28000 per month is the current stipend for west bengal mbbs student.

The college is situated in Bengal. So you can get some government scholarship like Bibekananda Scholarship, Oikoshri, Students Loan etc. Fees structure are on the basis of government rules. But you can manage little bit after talking with management. So it will be preferably better to visit campus and talk to management about all the money.

Library is sufficient. Hospital is fully equipped with modern instruments. There are so many ot. But sometimes you will feel bore in campus. But few minutes if distance, there is Biswabharati University campus. So you can go there and can chill.

Hostel are so good. Food quality is little bit lower but considerable. You will get 1 almirah, 1 table chair, ac room, non ac room, single room according to your need. No ragging is done. Management is so strict in ragging purpose.

You can get an mbbs seat after passing the Neet. Neet has it's own eligible marks. If you are getting more than the eligible marks, then you are allowed to take participate in counciling. There are 2 types of counciling. All india and state wise. I took admission in Management quota. So i talked with Management and obviously i was eligible for counciling and i get a seat. In mbbs life, you will get so many exams. Internal, semester, professional exam. So be prepared.

There are so many faculties in our college for every department. Our Anatomy, Pathology. Orthopedics, Pediatric, obs gynae, Dermatology department is most strong and very well. But others department are also good. Faculties are skillful . And they have higher abd sufficient degree fir getting their post. Overall there is no complaints against faculties or department.
