Dislikes
- You have to share your room with 1 friend you get to choose your roommate
- Room size can be little small actually it was designed as a single room but due to increased batch strength they have made this for 2 people
- Food quality can be improved. It not bad but should be improved
Course Curriculum Overview
There are some problems with this curriculum like you didn't get that much clinical exposure in 1st 3 years you are just remembering data But you can go to clinics by yours and ask your seniors (pgt dada and didis ) for help
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay 6000 in the time of admission which also includes 1st semester fee Then you have to pay 4500 each semester There are total 9 semesters And before professional exam you have to pay 1000 rupees There are 4 professional exams in mbbs Total 46500 rupees And I get a scholarship named svmcm that gives me 60000 rupees per year ( you have to get 60% marks to get this )
Campus Life
Every festival you can think of is celebrated here Our cultural fest's name is CRUX Academic fest PERIZIA Also there foundation day is celebrated grandly You can perform in stage if you have any kind of talent and you you don't have any you can build
Admission
Ipgmer and sskmh is the best medical college in west bengal It has been named centre of excellence It's located in central Victoria memorial is 100m away from your college isn't it fascinating If someone is getting this college your experience is going to be magical
Faculty
The faculty I liked most is professor Dr. Hironmoy roy sir because his way of teaching is just great and he is approachable And of now there is no teacher I didn't liked And about exams There are 9 semesters in 4.5 years But mai exams are professional exams which held covered whole syllabus of that particular year and it quite difficult Passing marks is 50%
Night Life
I live in hostel We can go outside any time in the night Gym : we have 2 gyms in our college Library: 10am to 12 am Hangout places you can hangout all over kolkata there is metro 100m away And nandan , victoria, cathedral church, birla planetarium are very near to our campus
