- Professor are very friendly and supportive
- Diversity of students and culture where you can celebrate every festival
- Campus is good and cozy and nice
Dislikes
- There are very few such as limited lab resources
- Overcrowded classes as it made difficult to cope-up
- Late-nights lecture flexibility like at night it's isn't safe and cultural events sometimes overshadow academic process like exams, assignments deadline and projects.
Campus Life
- Our university has four campuses. The main campus is in Mies Campus, which is located in Bronzeville, Chicago. Second is The Conviser Law Centre in downtown Chicago, which hosts Chicago-Kent College of Law and business-related graduate programmes. Third is The Rice Campus in Wheaton, which focuses on information technology and management programmes, particularly for working professionals. Lastly Lastly, the Moffett Campus in Bedford Park is dedicated to food safety and health research, housing the Institute for Food Safety and Health. All the facilities are available, such as a swimming pool, zumba classes, a gym, a badminton court, a volleyball court, a library, an interview room and a library space room for group discussion. All the festivals are celebrated, such as ganpati, some cricket matches, badminton matches, and volleyball matches by the ISA organisation, and TEDx talks by TEDxIllinois Tech as I was part of it and many more.
Fees
- Tuition fees were $33,294, Living expenses were $15,790, and health insurance is 1,973 so the total is $51,057. As I got a scholarship of $12,000 each semester, I had to pay less in fees. Cost estimation: if you are living in a shared room, then the minimum it will go for is $400, and utilities are like $110 per month and internet is $12 each and for transportation, if you take a travel pass from college for 3 months, it is $158 for unlimited travel and for groceries, it will go for above like $75, plus depending upon one's needs.

- Campus location: while chicago offers opportunities but the surrounding area near the campus could feel unsafe at times.
- Dining Options: the food variety on campus could be improved, especially for international students with specific preferences.
Campus Life
- My University has mainly two campuses: the first one is the Miles campus, and the second is the Downtown campus. But the main and big campus is Miles campus. Miles campus offers various facilities like modern classrooms, libraries, and recreational areas.
- One Indian student club organizes festival celebrations like Navaratri, Diwali, Ganesh puja, etc. on campus. Additionally, extracurricular activities like hackathons, competitions, career fairs, and workshops are frequently organized by the university.
Likes
- They also have too many Curricular activities in which you can take part.
- There are so many clubs which you may join in order to keep yourself involved in the curriculum.
Dislikes
- The coursework at the university is hectic and there you have to take 3 core courses which increases your workload during spring semester.
Overview
I enrolled in this university as this was a private university and had a rank of 23 all over the world in the field of computer science. My overall experience with the university was pretty good and I got to learn new technologies and new subjects.
Campus Life
Campus has too many activities in fall and spring in which students can take part.
Overview
I chose this institute because of great research potential, good professor reviews, were accepting a switch from ece to cs. I had a fantastic experience overall. The professors were excellent, and I learned a great deal from them. I had the chance to work on my research, which was a valuable opportunity, and I also made important connections at various networking events. All in all, it was a very productive and enriching time.
Campus Life
Really good campus, a lot of student clubs, a lot of activities on campus. Library is excellent, and the staff is supportive.
Likes
- The courses provided by the university were appealing and I was more interested in attending those.
Overview
In my experience living far from family and study has great impact on once character. We need to get socially active otherwise you will be left alone here, this will impact your brain and your academics. In University try to be as active as possible this will prepare you for what's coming in future for you. Try to focus on what you are interested in apart from what others are doing.
Campus Life
Campus had recreational center for daily extracurricular activities. We had Table tennis, snooker and other things to enjoy at international center.
Overview
Concentration on Technical facet of architecture, also a reputed college for Architectural Studies. It was headed by one of the most famous architects Mies Van Der Rohe who is known for his 'Less is More' philosophy.
Fees
Since it is a private institution, the fees are considerably higher. Around 1500$ approximately per credit. The fee is paid every semester and also attached are university transportation pass fees, college academic services fees as model shop fees. Since I am an architecture student, we had to use a lot of softwares like AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, adobe photoshop, etc which are very expensive even for students. There is a small discount for students but it still is a lot. Also, architecture requires a lot of models to be constructed which require a lot of expensive materials.
Overview
I really liked the idea of a hands-on education that they were offering. There were many project-based courses that were required as part of the curriculum, and that is how I learn best. I was able to do research in addition to these projects as well, which gave me more of the experience I needed to succeed.
Fees
The total cost for a year at IIT, which included tuition, housing, and other fees, was about $55,000 per year. There were other fees, such as parking, and lab fees that we had to pay as well, which were about $1,000 a year.
Overview
Great school for my major, good pricing and close by.
Fees
Tuition, books, room and board, parking pass, food.
