The students are eligible for placements from 7th semester. Some of the major companies where the placements are provided are, Trilegal, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Commercial Law Advisors, Iyer and Thomas and many more. The average package is 4,20,000 per annum.

TNLLU is terrific

In comparison to TOP 5-6 National Law Universities, the number of students getting placements in TNNLU is relatively low. But, in the last 2-3 years, the scenario of placement has changed a lot. Students are getting placed in reputed Tier-1 firms such as Trilegal, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan, etc. Alumni of the TNNLU are working as professors, judicial clerks, advocates of the Supreme Court as well as High Courts, and legal officers in banks and many students opt for higher education from Indian and foreign institutes. The university has a specific Internship and Placement Cell that works for providing a wide of opportunities to students. However, TNNLU has a long way to go in the field of placements.

My college life

The placement of my college is not great when compared to other national law university but still better than some private colleges. Companies such as Trilegal, Argus has visited our college to recruit students. Though I plan on pursuing judiciary.

Internships Opportunities:

There is an Internship and placements cell working at the college headed by a faculty member, who takes care of the facilitation of internship opportunities. There are no assured placements, but a mere bringing in of pre-placement offers which are exclusive to the university.

Upcoming law school

A lot of law offices have visited the campus for their recruiting. However the count of recruitment is very less because the field of law in corporate side is such. It is a young college and it is expected to see a rise in placements and packages in future. Tentatively around 30 percent of students are placed every year. The institution conducts a lot of workshops and guest lectures on regular intervals to prepare the students.
