Remarks
The college management is effective and is working hard to develop this young college. They are friendly to the students too. Easily approachable.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very elaborate and easy to comprehend. It is highly relevant to the field and it grooms a students for the future years to come after graduation. It is research driven too. Research projects are required to be submitted for every subject in every semester. All of these combined provides immense knowledge and experience to the students. Industrial visits for this college is with regard to court visits and jail visits. It is organised by the faculties upon the interest and requirements of the students.
Placement Experience
A lot of law offices have visited the campus for their recruiting. However the count of recruitment is very less because the field of law in corporate side is such. It is a young college and it is expected to see a rise in placements and packages in future. Tentatively around 30 percent of students are placed every year. The institution conducts a lot of workshops and guest lectures on regular intervals to prepare the students.
College Events
Since it is a law college, the technical aspect is with regard to conducting national level moot competitions and arbitration competitions. The university sees competition from students all over India coming forward to participate and win the huge cash prizes that are offered for technical competitions. Other cultural and sports events are comparatively are on a smaller scale with no much participation from other college students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. College provides complete transparency in the fee breakdown. The fees amounts upto Rs. 1, 94, 000 per year. No other extra fees needed. All general modes of payment are accepted such as the NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, Cheque and such. The fee doesn't change for each course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college provided for scholarship opportunities. Educational loans were to be availed separately by the individuals. The criteria was that income should be less than 3 lacs per year.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is almost equal. Student parties and hostel parties are quite common and are provided for by the management itself without any hindrance. A very good social life inside the university campus. Extra curricular activities are wide enough and are promoted by the management and funded also. Debates, Moots, Arbitrations and sports are few such areas which are significant.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I have opted for hostel. Infact, it is compulsory because it is a residential college. There are plenty of hostel rooms. 3 persons stay in a room and it becomes 2 persons per room as u enter into the final years of college. No need to look for nearby PGs of any sort. The college hostel is equipped with wifi, AC and all other required facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is not wide. It is a young college that is still growing. However the existing two batches of alumins are really helpful and experienced in all fields of law.
Admission
I opted this course because of my interest in the field of law. The process of admission starts from the preference of colleges that are given while appearing for the entrance exam - Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Depending on the AIR secured by a candidate, the admission is granted into the university. This university is the only available national level law college that is instituted in Tamil Nadu. I chose this because of this. The admission begins around june first week and it is Spontaneous and easy to complete.
Faculty
The faculties of the college are at par excellence. They are learning too on a day to day basis. However, the permanent faculties are very less in number around 15 only. Whereas there are a lot of guest faculties who stay in college premises at all time. Everyone is highly qualified with either masters or doctorate degree. Any doubts can be clarified and at anytime via personal contact numbers and also in person. The average age would be around 30s. A lot of young qualified faculties but there are few highly experienced faculties with 20 years of teaching experience too.
