Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure that is spread over 5 years focuses on everything from fundamentals of criminology to moot court exercises so as to give students a practical training about how things go on in a courthouse.

Placement Experience

There's a compulsory internship program set for law students which is of 10 months in their duration of 5 years. Each semester has one month of internship program, each having different cases that the student needs to handle and understand.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It costs INR 400000 per annum for a student to be eligible for studying in this institute. Its a hefty amount and not everyone can easily afford it. However, there are scholarship and student loan facilities that they can avail.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is given on merit basis with top 5 qualifying students getting full fees as scholarship, 76-90% getting 75% of the scholarship, 61-75% getting 50% of the scholarship and 51-60% getting 25% of the scholarship amount.

Campus Life

Various events such as gandhi jayanti, dandiya garba night, cultural fest, sapling plantation etc, talks on gender justice, are conducted so to instill an open mindset among students that gives place for logical discussions.

Admission

There's a form to be filled for admission in this course. One needs to mention all the details as asked in the form, which can be downloaded from the website, they need to attach a DD/cheque of INR 1000 and send it by post along with the form to the college's official address. The college wil communicate with regards to admission.

Remarks:

The Government Law College, Madurai is overall a good college. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Faculty is also helping and skilled.
