Life at SRM School of Law

I'm from a family of lawyers so I chose to pursue law and this course. The carriculum is not bad but can be better. Teaching methods are little conventional. It can improve in standards of NLUs. Exams are not very difficult. They are easily structured and we get 3 hours to write semester and model exam for 70 marks. 50 for cycle test and 11/2 time.

Placements are very mediocre. Few companies like Zoho, Agarwal, Etc visit for campus interviews but they offer less package. As for my knowledge maybe 2-5% get placed. I plan to practice as an advoca after graduating.

Our batch pay 2 lakhs per year and it's fixed. Our previous batch paid 1.5Lakhs and next one might pay 2.5 lakhs. However, the fee is fixed for a batch and should be paid every year. There are scholarships available based on merit and reservations. We pay 2000Rs everyday semester as exam fees. There are no other charges.

The campus life is one of the best things about this college. There are many events happening around the year and it's always buzzing. Students are the main organisers and they get represent themselves. Within law school there is a law club for organising events and in the university there are many. They offer great exposure and enhances leadership skills.

I didn't consider other colleges as I felt this to be better in the city and offered 3yr law. I did not apply with other colleges. For admission we have to apply online. There are no entrance exams or cut offs. There are management seats as well. Admission process is smooth and well structured.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Every staff is approachable and are ready to help. There are no particular faculty I like and don't like, I don't have such affiliations. There are 2 semesters per year with 1 Cycle test and 1 model exam per semester.
