Remarks

Undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses are available at the Tamil Nadu National Law University. Admission to TNNLU, Trichy’s B.A. L.L.B. (Hons), BCom. L.L.B. (Hons), and L.L.M programmes are based on CLAT scores obtained by the applicant. Candidates applying for B.A. L.L.B. (Hons) and BCom. L.L.B. (Hons) admission at the Tamil Nadu National Law University must take part in CLAT counseling process. However, candidates must participate in CLAT PG counseling in order to be admitted to L.L.M Course. After the usual admission process, one can get admission through the vacant seats as notified by the University. Applicants willing to take admission should keep an eye on vacancy notifications to grab a seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is highly standardized and methodical. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and have graduated from prestigious law schools. Their experience is extremely beneficial to us in all activities. Their teaching methods are modern and flexible for students. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. Faculties provide us with adequate training in activities such as mooting, debates, research approaches, and so on. As TNNLU is a residential college, students can approach the faculty at any time. The course curriculum was developed to emphasize practicality, and the faculty goes above and beyond to ensure that every student is learning properly. A student must achieve 51 percent to pass, and the structure is made up of project papers, vivas, internal examinations, and the class test.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships were provided by law firms depending on the forte in which students are interested. From criminal lawyer lawyer to corporate lawyer, the one we want, we can take that. As of now, we have just attended Moot courts in the college and will be eligible for internships from next year

Placement Experience

5

In comparison to TOP 5-6 National Law Universities, the number of students getting placements in TNNLU is relatively low. But, in the last 2-3 years, the scenario of placement has changed a lot. Students are getting placed in reputed Tier-1 firms such as Trilegal, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan, etc. Alumni of the TNNLU are working as professors, judicial clerks, advocates of the Supreme Court as well as High Courts, and legal officers in banks and many students opt for higher education from Indian and foreign institutes. The university has a specific Internship and Placement Cell that works for providing a wide of opportunities to students. However, TNNLU has a long way to go in the field of placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students seeking to get admission in B.A.LL.B(Hons) and BCom. L.L.B(Hons) have to pay Rs 2.23 lakhs during the time of admission. However, students belonging student to SC and ST community get some amount of concessions. The annual feel after admission is 1.92 lakhs.

Campus Life

5

TNNLU’s infrastructure is unique among the other law colleges in the state. It is also one of the few national law universities that had a full-fledged campus at the time of the beginning of the courses. All classrooms are equipped with smart room technology and central air conditioning. In addition, the entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi. At the library, all online databases are accessible, making it one of the best law libraries available in NLUs. Other facilities such as moot court halls, and multipurpose halls are available. There is a full-time medical facility on campus, as well as a government ambulance on call at all times in case of an emergency. The sporting events are vibrant. There are two playgrounds, and other sports halls such as a badminton court, volleyball court, etc. Hostel rooms are spacious and it's on a double and triple sharing basis. The mess food is average. However, the canteen is available on campus, so you have delicious food there.

Hostel Facilities

5

TNNLU is a Residential University, so it is compulsory for all the students to take hostels. College is situated in outskirts of the city, so it has been mandated that every student is compulsorily required to take hostel. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and it's available on double and triple sharing basis. All essential facilities are available inside the hostel and the mess is situated in the hostel itself.

Interview Experience

5

To get admission in TNNLU, applicants need to appear for CLAT Examination. This is the only way to get admission in TNNLU. The admission is primarily based upon your CLAT score and ranking and no other tests such as interview and GD is required.
