College review about Tamil Nadu National Law University at TRICHY.

I have choosed this particular degree because of my strong foundation in the commerce field and B.com course also includes certian BA papers too as per the guidelines provided by the Bar Coiuncil Of India. There are clinical courses offered by our University which is really helpful to deal with the real-world experience. After 6th semester students are allowed to choose their own elective subjects which they want to pursue for their future. The exam period will be really tiring as they will commence imediately after projects and viva. There won't be proper time period to prepare for the exam. It will be the most stressful time for many students.

The students are eligible for placements from 7th semester. Some of the major companies where the placements are provided are, Trilegal, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Commercial Law Advisors, Iyer and Thomas and many more. The average package is 4,20,000 per annum.

The year wise fees for 2 semmesters would be 2,23,000 per annum. In which the tution fee would cover 1,00,000. Student welfare fund takes around 1,000 RS, examination fee would be RS. 2000 and Library fee would be Rs. 5,000. Apart from this the room rent would be RS. 12,000 per annum, Mess chaarges RS.30,000 Per annum and Internet would be 5,000 per annum. For the students who studied in Tamil Nadu State Board would have fee concession of about 1,17,000 for TN SC/ST students. 1,23,000 for TN first gen graduate students. For students admited under TN Government school Quota will be NIL as the fee will be borne by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

The student life in TNNLU is actually the fun part, there are clubs like musice, dance, theater, photgraphy, litracy, art and many more and many events will be conducted by th eclub very often. There will be celebrations for the festivals like ponga, onam, diwali, holi and haloween too. Tamil Nadu National Law University has the largest Library across the Southern NLU's and we have wide range of books, articles and online acess to these books. The internet access is provided around the campus and also in the classrooms too. The sports activities also a major part of our college where we'll be going out to various college for theis event and also there is anual sports fest conducted within the college and also the cultural fest.

I've apllied for multiple colleges and before Tamil Nadu National Law University, I applied to VITSOL and got selected. I didn't attend the college but the fee structure would be the major difference between the two colleges as in VITSOL, I had to pay over 4 Lakhs per annum and also the educational standard varies as TNNLU is exclusive under Clat consortium and also they are a privilged institution exclusively established for law by the State. I've not been rejected from any college that I have applied for, the admission process is through clearing CLAT exam. The seats will be alloted through the counselling process after the CLAT results.

The faulties to student ratio would be low where the students are more compared to the faculties. The faculty student relationship is really good and friendly and they're open at most of the time and we can approach them accordingly. They'll help us based on our inidividually area of lacking. Moreover, TNNLU have a one to one mentorship programme where the mentors are faculties provided to the students to work on the griefs of the students and also in academics and any athor personal problems with coping to the environment. There are 6 courses for the first six semester and for one semester there would be 2 exams, Mid-semester exam and End-semester exam. Most of the students pass out this exams with good grades. It is very much related to the curriculum provided by the BCI.

The night life is best and we'll be having curfews. On weekdays students are allowed to go out of the college till 9:30 P.M and on weekends we can go out till 10:00P.M. There are 3 gyms one in amneties block its a unisex gym whereas other two in respective boys and girls hostel. We have classes on weekdays and holidays on weekends. THe class timing is 9:00 A.M to 4:00P.M and the cafeteria, Library and Men's and WOmen's hostel closes by 10:00 P.M. Inside the campus we have lots of places to eat and also in 10m radius we have fod spots. It's safe campus as w ehave security guards but outside the campuse its quite dangerous as it is a village area and at night especially.
