Teachers of core subjects teaches pretty good and have good skill which they try their best to pass on to students.
Get a good percentile is jee mains nta site is there for application form.
Beauty of the campus is an absolute bliss. less work pressure of academic. campus is well connected to nature.

Dislikes

Water isn't that great and may cause skin problems
The college doesn't have a proper shelter which is the worst possible situation due to the climate
One of the major drawbacks of my college is the weather condition, which can be extremely hot. Being located in the southern part of the India, the temperatures often soar, making it uncomfortable for students, especially during the summer months.

Review for NITPY

Likes

The buildings are newly constructed so they are good
Friendly staff and working people, completely anti ragging campus
Events are conducted in way that everyone is interested in it

Dislikes

The menu is good but the food sometimes
Weather is hot in the maximum cases but there will always be this beach air

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is this program called NEP which completes the whole core subjects in 2 years and we can also opt for a major in any other degree so that we can complete a dual degree in a very short Time. Exams are conducted with due notice so there would be no problem

Various Extra Curricular Activities to participate, I myself was in NCC, President of ECE association, Won first place in interdepartment dance competition in 2024, Placed second in interdepartment Badminton, Conducted Blood Donation Camps etc
u will get many platforms to show your skills apart from studies
most of the faculties here are supportive by all means

Dislikes

management is little slow, and placement opportunities in core departments are not too good when compared with IT Placements

Placement Experience:

You can find many IT companies coming for placements such as ABB, Oracle, ZScaler, HCL, L&T etc, but in terms of core very less placements have been observed in the year 2023 to 2024 with an average package of 8LPA.

College, hostel and student life

Faculties are good and supportive and always ready to help.

Dislikes

Building are very less and somany are under construction.
Compus is not completely well set-up it's under construction due which full dust is there.

Placement Experience:

Compus placement are but this year it decreased like previously 55 to 60 companies came but this year 30 companies came and placement rate of 72% . From 7 semester students are eligible for placement. Training sessions are also there for placement. Latest the highest package was of 20 LPA and lowest was 4.5 LPA and avg is 7.5 LPA .

Honest Review on NIT Puducherry

The first thing , i like in college is our lab facility and equipment. The laboratory facilities at my college are excellent and well-equipped with all needy components for experiments. The labs are spacious and provide a good environment.
My college is little bit far from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a very silent and peaceful environment. This settings provides a very good atmosphere for studying and focusing on academic without the distractions of urban life.
Our college hosts several fests and festival celebrations throughout the year. These events are vibrant and well-organized, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their hidden talents apart from their academic works.

Dislikes

One of the major drawbacks of my college is the weather condition, which can be extremely hot. Being located in the southern part of the India, the temperatures often soar, making it uncomfortable for students, especially during the summer months.
Another concern at my college is the knowledge level of the PhD scholars. This can be disappointing for students who seek mentorship and advanced academic guidance. This also create issues while doing our experiments and projects.
A significant drawback of my college is its distance from the nearest market. Being situated far from the city, it is often challenging for students to access essential good and services. This create frustration when we need something immediate.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is decent. I can't tell it totally bad or very good. From 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Placement statistics for 2023-2024 were like this, around 40 companies visited to our college some are names as ABB, Ford, Genpact, Kaleyra, Nvidia, Unacademy, TCS, Tesco, etc. Highest package was offered at 22 lakh per annum by Nvidia. And average package was around 7 to 8 lakh per annum. The percentage of students who got placed was 74%. My plans after getting degree is to get placed and do a job.

Likes

The college is near the beach and the good environment
Good faculty and try to improve themselves
Friendly faculty especially for the EEE department

Dislikes

The environment is so hot, even the wind blow but still hot

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good and offered a package of 16LPA maximum to the students ( vary year by year and depends on the company ) . The college is having a placement rate of around 64% (vary year by year)

Infrastructure is still developing but it is nice like whatever is there .
Campus vibes are cool. We have beach very near to college and peaceful environment.

Placement Experience:

College placements are decent not so good not so bad. The average is 5 lac and the highest is 18 lac. It entirely depends on you what you do in 4 years to get a good package. Just maintain cgpa of at least 7.5 to get a nice placement and apart from that learn new skills.

Good faculty is very good and behaviour of faculty is very nice . They treat like us friends
College is situated near beach it's is good for us . whenever we want we will go there

Dislikes

Mess is so far from hostel it's very bad for us.
Infrastructure facilities are very poor in nit py.
As you know campus is under development so construction work is going on so we face lot of difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is up to date and every faculty member is good. but there is a thing that you can not change your branch, after the admission, but if you score a good cgpa in btech you can get direct admission in iit madras in mtech course.

Likes

Our curriculum and faculties we got are great.
Students and management is focused on the growth of our college.
We can get enough time to engage in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Sports facilities are worst in our college.
You have to beg for extra food in mess and it's quality.
College is not giving good funds for fest and clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college curriculum is way better than other colleges as the subjects other read in second year we are reading those in our first semester only. Still, the curriculum needs some seriousness. Exams for us are not much difficult and happens thrice in a semester.

The emerging college NIT PY

Likes

Good location as it very close to sea you can go on beach when ever you want
Your are allowed to go on outing till 10.30 pm
Teachers are also good and college follow NEP

Dislikes

the connectivity is not very good as it is far form big city like Chennai
sports facility are not very good there are only 2 permanent grounds
campus is under construction . so many things are not available in campus

Placement Experience:

from 7th sem you are eligible for placements. Many compines like ABB,SAMSUNG FORD L&T and many other compnies.For my branch EEE the highest packege was 40LPA last year and average was 8lpa .More than 75% eligible students are placed. Iwill get a job continue it

Library ambience was so good for the students.
Campus is so neat , elegant and clean as well.

Canteen food is bad than you think actually

Choosing engineering in a good college was dream to most of the people. Considering the factors, studying in the big board comes with great responsibility as well . Subjects are quiet tough to manage.

When it comes to NITs, everyone knows that they are better than any private colleges in the aspects like fees, faculties, campus. The tag of NIT can come in handy for you any day.

NIT Puducherry (NITPY) has the best and most supportive faculty there is. Be it any department and especially CSE. There is nothing better than good professors from whom you can seek all the knowledge you want. The fee structure is quite affordable and less when compared to the private colleges but a bit more than government colleges.

The CSE department also has quite promising placements. The students get placed in huge companies in places like Bangalore, Noida, and Chennai. Not that we are looking for it but NIT Puducheert has a lab with a 1000 Mbps internet connection that is available for you to use. If it convinces you, then you can surely go for it.

If your requirement is Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology then it is not the best choice for you.
