Caution Deposit	If Hostel admission is sought for the FIRST TIME, a refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 4,000/- shall be paid in addition to the Total Hostel Fee.
Important Dates for Hostel Fee Payment	Without Fine: On or before 26.01.2025
	With a Fine of Rs. 500/-: From 27.01.2025 to 31.01.2025
	With a Fine of Rs. 1,000/-: From 01.02.2025 to 05.02.2025
Readmission to the Hostel	If the Hostel Fee is not paid on or before 05.02.2025, readmission must be obtained with the permission of the Chief Warden, NIT Puducherry Hostels, along with a Fine of Rs 2,000/-.
Important Note	- Students willing to avail themselves of Hostel accommodation shall visit the respective Hostel facilities and read the latest rules and regulations of the Hostel before paying the fee.
	- Once the student has paid the Hostel Fee, it is understood that they are aware of the Hostel facilities and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Hostel (subject to change from time to time).

The boys' hostel has four floors with 43 rooms per floor, accommodating two people per room. Facilities include separate study tables, LAN connections, and a WiFi router for every two rooms. The hostel can accommodate 400 boys and 300 girls, with two hostels for boys and one for girls. Rooms are available in single, double, and triple-sharing arrangements. First-year boys have AC rooms shared by four, while subsequent years offer non-AC rooms for two or three students.

The girls' hostel rooms are shared by two. The hostels feature new infrastructure, gym, mess, 24-hour WiFi, and well-maintained cleanliness. Annual hostel fees are approximately 32,000 to 36,000 INR, with a decrease after the first year. The mess food quality varies, with options including North and South Indian cuisines. Although facilities like beds, almirahs, and study tables are provided, some students find the food average, and AC availability is limited to the first year.

The registration process is simple and mostly online.

An overview of NITPY

Hostel Facilities:

Every hostel room has 3 beds 2 study tables and chairs, two wardrobes, two shelves and two shoe racks. The view from the hostels are amazing. The meal quality is decent if you are not a very picky eater and the menu is different for thr entire week and non repeating

It's ok

Mess food will be ok and sometimes very bad

Rooms are provided like 3 members for room and its good rooms but menu is very bad and sometimes not eatable also.hostel fees is comparably affordable.and on special occasions some special menus are there.

Unsaid truth

2 fans, 1 chair, 1 bench, 1 bed, cupboard, and 3 people allotted for the room. Meal quality is pretty average and the menu is predominantly south Indian. Fill out the hostel form and 37500 as fees. You can get pg in the city Karaikal.

National institute - advantages and disadvantages

Water isn't that great and may cause skin problems

1st year hostels have air conditioning and after getting into 2nd year, the facility isn't available anymore. The water is not so impressive and the climate is a bit harsh. The college doesn't have proper greenery since the college is still under construction. The fees for 1st years is 33 thousand rupees and after coming to 2nd year, since they change hostels without air conditioning, it gets reduced by 3 thousand, i.e, 30 thousand. Food isn't that impressive in the hostels

There will be a cot table chair and a cupboard provided for each student. Meals are okay And the registration process for the hostel can also be done online with an approximate fee of 60000 per year. Some registration process is done during admission

My favorite Roller Coaster

Hostel Facility and food are not that good enough but survivable. You can not expect top class cuisine but managable food is been given and during the ramadan month food is prepared at 4AM in the morning for the people who are going to fast for 30 continuous days.

College, hostel and student life

Rooms are good. For first year boys,AC is available and separate hostalwith 4 students in one room , for 2 year to 4th year boys separate hostal is there non-AC, rooms are for 2 students but due to storage 3 students use one room but for 3 students there is no problem they can live freely and common toilet is there. For girls same hotel as 2nd year to 4th year boys hostel, for girls all 1st to 4th year has one building. There are 2 mess one in boys hostel and other in girls hostel. Food quality of boys hostel is better than girls hostel. 36k fees for 1st year boys. 32k fees for 2nd to 4th year boys or 1st to 4th year girls.

Honest Review on NIT Puducherry

Room facilities are somewhat good. Rooms are big and every room has windows, tables, beds, and drawers. For the first year, their rooms have AC but it is not there for second, third, or fourth years. That is a drawback of the hostel facility. Mess meal quality is ok ok, personally, I don't like it. Also there is not any separate mess for north people, so this is also a drawback. The registration process for the hostel is also very easy, only we have to pay the hostel fee to the government website and submit the receipt to the hostel office. Rooms are always available there. There is also a system that you can leave the hostel and you can live outside the college and you can come to the college as day scholar.

You have to beg for extra food in mess and it's quality.

Hostel facilities are good enough. For first year 4 person occupancy room is provided with 2 AC each. Food is not good here but not very bad. For hostel you can register during admission process itself and it's on a affordable fee.
