NITPY A place you hate but eventually love

Likes

Reaserch facilities labs and professors all are good
The peer group is good everyone is talented and knowledgeable

Dislikes

No proper sports facilities in the campus
No proper canteens and cafeteria if you wnat to eat

Placement Experience:

Campus placemats are good companies visit campua at ever year for placement internship opportunities are less but placements both service and product based viait so if you have necessary skillss you will wgt placed the avergae salary is 12.6 lakhs and highest is 18 lakhs for samsing

It's ok

Likes

Basketball court which will be good and can also play cricket on it
Badminton court which is good and faculty will also play in that court

Dislikes

No cricket ground and cricket is taken very lightly but intrested people can play
Mess food will be ok and sometimes very bad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to placements from 4th year only and you can also try for internship in 3rd year which is rare in this College and some companies like samsung, Accenture,abb, vedya labs, mbit etc they visited us and students are getting placed less and getting placed for low packages.

Likes

I like my college atmosphere which is very good
The football ground will be very good too

Dislikes

I dislike the hostel food which is very bad
I don't like the outing restriction which is before 10 pn

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester we are eligible for placement activities. Many of the companies like TCS, ABB, Accenture etc. visited our campus. And 10 members got selected. The highest package will be 18 Lpa. And the average will be 8lpa.

Intersting facts about nitpy

Likes

The infrastructure is great and also being located in Karaikal offers a unique cultural experience
There are various clubs and societies for students to join like telugu club, fashion club,literary club etc

Dislikes

The climate is too hot we can't bare this climate
There is only one train to reach Chennai this is one of the major problem for students

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are going to search for placement jobs . recently on of our senior got job in Bangalore she is the one who got best package in ece.max no. Of will be placed some students are going to study further so they will choose mtech or something else. Ece has best placements in our college

Beauty of the campus is an absolute bliss. Less work pressure of academic. Campus is well connected to nature.

Dislikes

Placement statistics. Nearby area is not developed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of my course is pretty easy to cope up with , so that u get more time to prepare for other exams. Curriculum is prepared in such a way that it makes u ready to appear for gate and other similar exams. Provide more technical knowlegde related to subjects mentioned in the gate syllabus. There are 2 class test exams and then one final semester exam.

National institute - advantages and disadvantages

Likes

Quality of education and the teachers are pretty good
This college provides good amount of resources

Dislikes

Location of college is in a remote area where we couldn't find much resources for ourselves
The college doesn't have a proper shelter which is the worst possible situation due to the climate

Placement Experience:

The college gives good placements for mostly all of the branches and you can get an average package of 12 lakh per annum. Getting a placement in civil might be difficult unless you study hard and do some good internships. Mechanical and computer science has good placements compared to other branches

Likes

The buildings are newly constructed so they are good
Friendly staff and working people, completely anti ragging campus

Dislikes

The menu is good but the food sometimes
Weather is hot in the maximum cases but there will always be this beach air

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is this program called NEP which completes the whole core subjects in 2 years and we can also opt for a major in any other degree so that we can complete a dual degree in a very short Time. Exams are conducted with due notice so there would be no problem

Faculties are good and supportive and always ready to help.

Dislikes

Building are very less and somany are under construction.
Compus is not completely well set-up it's under construction due which full dust is there.

Placement Experience:

Compus placement are but this year it decreased like previously 55 to 60 companies came but this year 30 companies came and placement rate of 72% . From 7 semester students are eligible for placement. Training sessions are also there for placement. Latest the highest package was of 20 LPA and lowest was 4.5 LPA and avg is 7.5 LPA .

Honest Review on NIT Puducherry

The first thing , i like in college is our lab facility and equipment. The laboratory facilities at my college are excellent and well-equipped with all needy components for experiments. The labs are spacious and provide a good environment.
My college is little bit far from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a very silent and peaceful environment. This settings provides a very good atmosphere for studying and focusing on academic without the distractions of urban life.

Dislikes

One of the major drawbacks of my college is the weather condition, which can be extremely hot. Being located in the southern part of the India, the temperatures often soar, making it uncomfortable for students, especially during the summer months.
Another concern at my college is the knowledge level of the PhD scholars. This can be disappointing for students who seek mentorship and advanced academic guidance. This also create issues while doing our experiments and projects.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is decent. I can't tell it totally bad or very good. From 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Placement statistics for 2023-2024 were like this, around 40 companies visited to our college some are names as ABB, Ford, Genpact, Kaleyra, Nvidia, Unacademy, TCS, Tesco, etc. Highest package was offered at 22 lakh per annum by Nvidia. And average package was around 7 to 8 lakh per annum. The percentage of students who got placed was 74%. My plans after getting degree is to get placed and do a job.

The college is near the beach and the good environment
Good faculty and try to improve themselves

The environment is so hot, even the wind blow but still hot

The placement of the college is good and offered a package of 16LPA maximum to the students ( vary year by year and depends on the company ) . The college is having a placement rate of around 64% (vary year by year)

When it comes to NITs, everyone knows that they are better than any private colleges in the aspects like fees, faculties, campus. The tag of NIT can come in handy for you any day.

NIT Puducherry (NITPY) has the best and most supportive faculty there is. Be it any department and especially CSE. There is nothing better than good professors from whom you can seek all the knowledge you want. The fee structure is quite affordable and less when compared to the private colleges but a bit more than government colleges.

The CSE department also has quite promising placements. The students get placed in huge companies in places like Bangalore, Noida, and Chennai. Not that we are looking for it but NIT Puducheert has a lab with a 1000 Mbps internet connection that is available for you to use. If it convinces you, then you can surely go for it.

If your requirement is Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology then it is not the best choice for you.
