Very good faculty and they are very helpful and very knowledgeable
You will get lots of opportunities for scholarships ( government as well as private scholarships).
Placement and intership are pretty good like iits or better than some iits and nits

Dislikes

Ya faculties are well qualified upto the degrees of phd and post docatarate but in terms of teaching they are not very good i say.they just come in class with ppts and start whispering and no one listens actually
There are some who teach good, but don't support students.
Some faculty isnt well versed in their subjects or simply dont know how to teach

Coep- From the eyes of a sophomore

Likes

I liked the competition that there js among the students and the thrill that we get while moving from your home to another town and interacting with new people , developing with them and building a better future for yourself
I liked the variety of clubs that we get to participate in and increase or social skills
I love that even though there is a lot to do in college you can still chill and relax and not let any of it affect you in any matter

Dislikes

There is not much that I disliked about coep but there ar some issues, such as the faculty, irrelevant subjects and much more
There were a lot of subjects that were taught to us that weren't a part of our stream and still we had to learn it for cgpa
Some of the faculty is extremely efficient with their teaching skills while some of them lack even the basic ability make people understand stuff that they themselves have learnt

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the third year itself . There is a lot of competition among students for getting proper placements. Internships are offered in the starting of the 6th semester . The most famous company that visited is de Shaw, which gives the highest package in coep.almost 100 percent placement is seen in coep. I'd prefer to get placed in a decent company and continue there .

Extra curricular activities are the most important part of my engineering life and I liked that my college gives me various opportunities develope skills in me
The academics , the curriculum is very well designed
The peer group , all of the students here are scholars and the toppers of Maharashtra

Dislikes

Teachers are not that much good , they just try to end the syllabus
Management is worst here , as per my experience

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are pretty good here , it depends on branch , CS guys gets highest packages while ENTC guys gets the decent packages and average of CS and ENTC is around 14-15 lpa , electrical , mechanical branches too have a decent average of 10-11 lpa

Likes

Mess food i liked very much in 50 rs u get unlimited food chicksn biryani and unlimited is awesome
College atmosphere is also very nice no doubt
Fests are also very good and this place is very gooc

Dislikes

Students here only for study they dont want to enjoy
College dont take us for even a single site visit and trip
The things is we dont like the atmosphere here bcz regionalism is in peak

Placement Experience:

The placements is very good for e group students even the computer students get upto 1.5 lac per month only in internship phase and the hisghest package is 52 lac and for m group it is okok 5 6 lac packages

College and Hostel life is very good, Classrooms ae well ventilatored.
we can easily participate in various inter and intra college competitions as the college is very focused over extra curricular activities.
Faculties are good in their filed they know what a student should learn from the course.

Dislikes

Lectures keeps getting cancelled any time and it is quite frustrating
The college timing is too big . Sometimes it feels like 9 to 5 job.
The lunch break should be of some more time as many students are hostelites hence it ook time to go to hostel take lunch and again return.

Placement Experience:

The placement and internships are very good in this collegeand a student can apply to internsips from 3rd year and for placemnts from 4th year. Companies visits college and take aptitude tests and intevies for the same. Yes there are some companies whihc came and gave 0 offers like BNY melon. Highest package is given by DE shaw and it is around 35 lakh and average placement is of 12 lakh. In CS brach 98 percent studetnts get placed. I am looking forward to grab a good job in IT and work on my skills. There are mostly IT companies which have differnent job profiles including core, Developement, etc.

Club and other activities that happens in coep

Dislikes

Faculty are the curse for Coep only 10% of them know to teach and are actually interested in teaching else everyone is doing timepass

Placement Experience:

Placement are about 70% students are placed and in computer branch more than 90% students are placed so the scenario is quite good and average package is of 8 lpa, a hardworking student definitely can crack 15 lpa + package

I liked fencing club zest sports event, minds park etc
The teaching faculty is quite good compared to other college
The surroundings students are the best part of the college

Dislikes

Not much scope for research for bachelor students
Don't compare Coep with iit or not there is a lot of difference
There nothing more than that to complaint about

Placement Experience:

See try to main cgpa of 8.0 for good placements, as far as placements of computer science branch is considered they are quite good if you don't have active backlog or year drop there are more than 90% chance that you will get on campus placements, but for other branches condition is not that good

Environment. Its clean and pleasant. Helps us focus on the studies
Internship opportunities are easily available in pune.
people here are really friendly and enthusiastic.

Dislikes

Some faculty isnt well versed in their subjects or simply dont know how to teach
Hostel doesnt have enough facilities, like clean washrooms etc
lack of college wifi connectivity. many important sites are banned on College LAN

Placement Experience:

The college placement is amazing an we are offered many on-campus offers from big tech companies. The workers of the placement cell are themselves well connected and hence we can directly ask them for guidance, which they happily provide. Even if some don't get placed during placement rounds, there are many corporate jobs available in Pune

Maharashtra's Best Engineering College - COEP Technological University

Likes

Vibrant college life with a lot of happening fests
A good campus size and chill culture and faculty
very structured curriculum with focus on project work.

Dislikes

No training sessions for placements are offered
Infrastructure definitely needs an upgrade
Less research opportunities in the institute

Placement Experience:

COEP has the best placement in Maharashtra for all branches. Best placement in terms of salary offered is in Computer Science dept. with hightest salary offered was 50 lakhs per annum to 6 students. A lot of different companies in various fields visit COEP

WASHROOMS IN HOSTEL ARE NOT GOOD AND HOSTEL IS 5 MINS AWAY FROM COLLEGE SO WE HAVE TO CROSS A ROAD WHICH HAS LOT OF TRAFFIC

FROM 5TH SEM INTERNSHIP STARTS FROM 7TH SEM PLACEMENT STARTS ONE OF THE BEST PLACEMENTS ESCPESICALLY IN TECH ALSO CORE PLACEMENTS ARE GOOD AS COMPARED TO OTHER COLLEGES WE ALSO HAVE SOME JOINT PLACEMENT SESSION WITH IIT BOMBAY AND NIT NAGPUR

I really liked COEP campus its greenary everywhere
Canteen food and mess food is healthy and affordable
Teachers are really cooperating always..

Dislikes

Attendance need to be maintained throughout semester
whole lot of assignments are given which i dont like
Exams are tough some papers have questions from out of syllabus

Placement Experience:

Placements here at COEP are good as compared to other college in Pune, from the 5th semester companies starts hiring intern from our college they provide 2 monthly internship program with a good amount of stipend

COEP Pune is a reputed technological institute and offers decent academics and placement opportunities to the students. As far as teaching goes, you can expect to have 50-50 experience. Some of the faculties are excellent and have in-depth knowledge about their subjects, while others are not so much. COEP has a good infrastructure. The departmental labs are well-equipped.

The institute has a good placement record. The highlights of recent COEP placements show the median CTC to be around INR 5 LPA. VISA, eBay, Barclays, Oracle, etc. are among the major recruiters to visit the campus placement.

COEP’s Techfest - Mindspark is the largest techfest in Maharashtra after IITB’s techfest.
