All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.

Dislikes

But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

Some insights of IIT Kharagpur

Likes

The campus is quite good you will get an environment where their is a good bonding between your peeps
The sports and tech events gives a lot of exposure to the students
The campus is quite big and beautiful and almost every thing you need is available inside the campus

Dislikes

The acadmic is quite hectic you have to put extra effort to score well in tests
As the campus is far away from any city so you have to travel to long way in case of emergency
The medical facilities is not that upto norch.You can cure you small sickness from the hospital which is available in campus but in serious case you have to go to hospital which is 20-30km from campus

Placement Experience:

For 5-year students, they sit for placement after their 9th semester and for 4-year students, it is after the 7th semester. The highest package goes this year was about 2.5 crore. The average package for the circuital branch is usually 25 lakhs and for other branches, it is approx 17-18 lakhs. Approx more than 90% of students got placed from those who sit for placements.
