Likes
- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

Placement Experience:
For students enrolled in B.Tech degree program, the placement season happens in their 7th semester. And for dual degree, it is from 9th semester. Every year around 200 companies visit campus and around 1500 offers are made in the whole placement drive. Average offers are 18 Lac CTC, while highest offers are 1.5 Cr+ CTC. Around 85% plus students get placed and many pursue higher studies.

- The lush green campus which is so big , it has helipad and 3 schools
- The modern amenities os classroom and well kept clean hostels and and the campus and all the societies and events happening.
- The various huge department buildings and state if high tech machines and the quality of courses taught and their real life application
Dislikes
- Some of the teachers dint really teach that we'll z whose lectures are difficult to understand
- The halls don't have a very good system of roommate changing which can be difficult to adjust with
- There are some classes that happen very early in the morning , even in winters which can be very challenging
Course Curriculum Overview:
We get assigned branches in iit based on the rank we get . I had an interest for chemical engineering and I was getting it in IIT Kharagpur which was close to my home , so i chose it .
Faculty : student ratio is about 1:80
The teachers are highly qualified, most of them foreign University graduates . Teaching us also very lucid .
The exams were well announced and timely and the difficulty was moderate to difficult .

Placement Experience:
The placement of our college is great. Almost all the students who sit in the interview got placed in good companies and the other students opts for higher studies. This year 1353 offers are given to 1277 students till now.

Placement Experience:
In the 5th semester you can apply for the on campus placements and very big bull giant companies came here like google, Microsoft, apple, Amazon and all others and 96% students almost placed in the on campus placements and the most of the others do mtechs or mbas from IIMs and the highest package is roughly around 2.5 cr and averages is about 20 lpa and the lowest is almost about 7 lakh per annum

- Placements. Because most of the students get their job
- Infrastructure and course. IIT Kharagpur is the oldest of all iits. Building will be so good
Dislikes
- Faculty teachers a little bit fast. So that some of the average students are unable to understand
- Food. Food is of good quality. But, it is not tasty

Many big companies come and offer placements. Around 90 percent students get their job during placements. Highest package offered is 2.32 crores for CSE students last year. My plans after getting a degree is I need to get a job with good package in any good company.

From the seventh semester of college students are eligible for college placements. The highest package offered at the Indian Institute of Technology is 2.68 crore for the academic year 2023. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and many more visited to campus.

- Beauty of this campus is so adorable you can walk all night here.
- Our campus library is the biggest libaray in asia. It contains more than 2 lakh books.
Dislikes
- This campus so large and they don't allow us to ride motorbike.

Placement Experience:
Our college placement is good in comparison to all colleges. You can apply for placement in your 6th semester if your course is 4 years and in the 8th semester if your course is 5 years. Last year more than 500 companies approached our students.

- Friends and memories and iit tag and the perks of it.
- I like the bonding in out hostel and we stay together as a family.
- I like the open minded nature of the campus where we are not barred from doing anything and there are no in or out times.
Dislikes
- Mess food could be better and quality needs to be maintained.
- There are non many attractive things outside the campus.
- Recreational things could be built inside the campus.
Placement Experience:
Student are eligible for campus placement in the first semester of their final year. More than 150 companies visited offering more than 2000 offers. Highest package was 2.64cr pa and the median is about 19 lpa
Percentage placement is about 80% while many opt for research and further studies. Placement is my plan as of now.

- In IIT Kharagpur all societies are so helpful they help you to grow you self confidence. You can explore things by these societies.
Dislikes
- This campus is too large we have to ride a bicycle for 3 km just for class. that's why we missed our class sometimes.
- Kharagpur is a poor city so outside of college nothing to see.If you want to travel you have to go big city like Kolkata.
- Some branches like Electrical eng., Mechanical eng. are hard to study.

Placement Experience:
In IIT Kharagpur from the 6th semester, you can apply for internship and placement by CDC. All Big companies like Amazon, Facebook, TCS, Jio, Flipkart, Paytm and Myntra, etc. come to recruit students. On average there is 70-80% of students got placed. My plan after get my degree to do a job to stabilize my family and after a couple of years, I want to start my own company.

In the final year students are eligible for placements. All the big tech, consult, core and finance giants visit IIT Kharagpur, there is a whole list of them like google, BCG, Microsoft, etc.
For example Amazon gave 25 offers.
Highest package was 2.4 Cr and lowest was around 5-6 lakhs.
95% of the students get placed.
My plan after getting degree is job.
