GBPUAT B.Tech Biotechnology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Pantnagar University offers a comprehensive academic environment with a highly educated faculty, including doctors and scientists, who support both theoretical and practical student learning. The university comprises 8 colleges, each with at least 10 departments, and maintains a student-to-faculty ratio of 7:2. The exams are rigorous, contributing to student knowledge refinement, although 3 to 4 students fail each semester. Campus placements require a CGPA above 7.5, with additional exams and interviews.

Placement rates are generally low, but opportunities exist both on and off-campus, with companies like HCL Foundation and ICICI Bank recruiting students. Foreign exchange programs are available for students in the 3rd and final years, contingent on a CGPA above 7.

• Internships are plentiful, especially in industry sectors, with opportunities at MNCs and Indian companies, including DRDO and the Uttarakhand Biotechnology Council. The BTech Biotechnology program is self-financed, with total costs around Rs. 6 lakh, including tuition, hostel, and mess expenses.

  The semester fee is Rs. 66,000, with an additional Rs. 40,000 for hostel and mess charges. Students from outside Uttarakhand and those in self-financed courses must pay an extra demand draft, Rs. 50,000 annually for BTech Biotechnology and Rs. 1,00,000 for BTech Food Technology. Scholarships are available to reduce fees based on merit, but fee concessions are not offered to SC/ST students.
