Likes

Clean environment with no pollution. Area is vast covered with agriculture field.
Large 4 floor library one of the biggest in asia, computing facility, stadium and gym are free
Healthy teaching environment with High quality lab equipments and lots of extra curricular activities besides studing

Dislikes

Lots of events are held back to back so it gets so hectic sometimes
Very hot in summer taking afternoon lab class in summer is like hell (but A.C. are available in every lab)

I opted for bachelor's in Biotechnology this course mainly includes lab work and after my bachelor's I'll be persuing masters in microbiology so I think that this course is helpful for my higher studies.

Internships Opportunities

Many biotech companies invites students for internship program. There are also some educational trips held by college itself in higher institute. Summer internship are also introduced by our advisors.

Placement Experience

In this course the placement rate is low but during the 3rd and final year you can get the chance of foreign exchange programs. It requires overall CGPA above 7.5 to get in this program. I think this is a very good opportunity if you want to go to foreign countries in future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for this course programme is 6 lakh which includes hostel, tution, mess and othe expenses which I think is pretty decent according to the facilities. As it is a government University many government scholarship are also available.

Campus Life

The university is very huge covering around 22 acres of land, it is a government University which have a huge library, computing facility, stadium, gym, market area and many auditorium where meetings are held. You are provided with wifi in every hostel and books are free which can be borrowed from library. There are many societies and clubs that organize events and fest. Every year 2 sports event are held one is conflux games and other is sports meet which continues for 3days.

Hostel Facilities

There are total 24 hostel in pantnagar for different degrees program. Biotechnology girls get a 2 seater room which includes bed, study table, chair, cupboard and fan and boys have a 3 seater room including same furniture. Mess is average but hygienic there is a menu time table which is repeated every week and the variety are also good. You get aloo Paratha for breakfast every day. No Pg are available hostel are compulsory

Hostel Fee: INR 800 per year

Admission

For application in this course you have to give the university entrance exam. Then 3 rounds of counciling is held and according to your rank you can get seat in 1st 2nd or 3rd round. The average cutoff for this course is aroud 2500(overall rank)

Faculty

College have highly educated professor who are doctors and scientists. There are total 8 colleges in pantnagar university and each college have atleast 10 department and every department consists of 12 to 15 professor and other staff members.

Good place for your undergraduate degree

Placement Experience:

placements are good here with a avg package of 5 lakhs but students who work reall hard get placemnts more than 10 lakhs the highest package at my time was of 58 lakhs and many got 10-20 lakhs package as well so i say placements aare decent here. Companies such as oracle adobe palalto visits here and they give higher packages to students.

After completing 3rd year students are offered for internship.From my university, placement offer for Btech students with an average package of 3 to 4 lakh. placement rates vary by program and year ,with some reporting over 70%placement with average salary of 2-3 lakh. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro,Tech Mahindra Etc. About 50-60%students got scholarship. Talking about the top roles that offered are software developer,data scientist and system analyst . I applied for agriculture college and was confirmed admission, but I was more inclined towards animal biology than plant . I tried for a medical College too , but my score didn't permit me to score a seat there.
