IIT BHU Application Process 2025
IIT BHU BTech enrolls candidates based on their JEE Advanced scores. Seats are allotted to candidates based on the JoSAA Counselling.
- Register for the JEE Advanced exam.
- Enter the personal and academic details.
- Upload Scanned Images of the Candidate’s Photograph and Signature.
- Pay the application fee through Debit card/ Credit card/ Net banking/UPI/ PAYTM.
- Print the Confirmation Page and keep it for future reference.
JoSAA Application Process
- On the JoSAA website, click on the “Registration Page”.
- Use the JEE Advanced application number to login.
- Once you ensure the profile is accurate, Submit Changes.
- Fill out your preferred colleges and specializations, according to the list of available options.
- Click on ‘I agree to lock my choices’.
IIT BHU MTech Admissions 2025
IIT BHU MTech is offered in 40+ specialisations. Candidates are enrolled based on their GATE Scores and the COAP Counselling. Only COAP-registered candidates are eligible for IIT BHU MTech Admissions. IIT graduates with CGPA above 8 do not require a GATE score and will be offered IIT BHU admission on the basis of merit and interview only. For non-IIT graduates having a valid GATE score is a must.
In the IIT BHU selection process, 70% weightage is given to GATE score and rest 30% to interview.

IIT BHU PhD Selection Criteria
- IIT BHU selects PhD scholars based on their GATE/NET/GPAT/CSIR NET or UGC NET JRF score.
- This is followed by a Written Test and a Personal Interview.
- Candidates with qualifying CSIR NET/UGC NET JRF scores are offered IIT BHU admission through an interview, on the same date of application.
- The following candidates are exempted from written test: Sponsored Registration, Full time External Registration, Part-time registration and candidates with National Level Scholarships.

Ques. Are any students exempted from paying the entire tuition fee at IIT BHU?
Ans. Yes, the following students are exempted from paying the entire tuition fee.
- For those students, whose family income is < 5.00 and >1.00 lakh –1/3 of the tuition fee (2/3 exempted).
- For those students, whose family income is < Rs. 1.00 lakhs – exempted from tuition fee.
Ques. What are the rules for discipline change at IIT BHU?
Ans. The following rules have been laid down for discipline change at IIT BHU:
- Students will be allowed change of programme on the basis of his/her academic performance subject to strength constraints of the of different UGD/IDD programmes of different Departments/Schools, using the guidelines given below. Change of programme is a privilege and not a right. Change of programme shall be permitted in the beginning of the 2nd semester as well as the 3rd semester.
- The student (a) will not be allowed change of options after the last date of the application; (b) can withdraw his/her application within the specified period announced from the office of the Dean (Academic Affairs); and (c) must join the new allotted discipline and is not eligible for withdrawal.
- Foreign Nationals who have been sponsored by their respective Governments and/or Government of India for specific courses are not eligible for change of programme.
Ques. What are the documents required for IIT BHU PG Admissions?
Ans. The following documents are required for IIT BHU PG Admissions:
- Date of Birth Certificate or High School Certificate containing DOB
- E-receipt of application processing fee
- Category Certificate
- Certificate of Physically challenged category, if applicable
- Medical fitness certificate from any registered medical practitioner

Ques. What is the procedure to withdraw your IIT BHU admission?
Ans. In case, a candidate wishes to withdraw his/her admission, after paying the Academic fee, he/she may do so, within the notified date. Such candidates will be refunded the paid Academic fee after deduction of penalty towards seat retention as specified. No refund of Academic fee except caution money would be admissible to any candidate who withdraws his/her admission on or after the date of physical registration.

The admission for the 2022 session at IIT BHU for the M.Pharma course has already been done. Admission to this course is based on valid scores on the GPAT exam. The last date to apply for this course was April 15, 2022.

To be eligible for the two years full-time M.Pharma course at IIT BHU you must have passed your B.Pharm or an equivalent degree in Pharmacy with at least 60% marks from the recognized institute. Admission to this course is based on valid scores on the GPAT exam.
