- There is smart peer group. Which is always useful to be around and makes a person feel better
- If there is an infrastructure problem it gets resolved quickly ,Unlike many other government institutions.

- The professors can sometimes be a bit too harsh on the students
- The Water is not R.O on the campus premises.
Hostel Facilities:
Hostel costs around 14000 or 28000 per year depending on single or double room. Meal quality is kind of okayish and sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad. Hostel provides a room, an almirah , a table and a chair inside the room. TThere are 4 common washrooms on a single floor

- The size of campus is perfect, it's a not too big, not too small 120 acres campus. We don't have to wake up too early just yo walk or cycle large distance to reach classes.
- The boys to girls ratio is 4:1 which is quite good considering the condition in other institutions. As a female candidate, the campus is quite safe.
Dislikes
- The rigorous attendance criteria is what I dislike the most. There is a 75% mandatory attendance criteria, and moreover there are marks for attendance as well.
- Lack of recreational facilities in college is what I dislike, apart from a very good swimming pool, there is nothing else to get happy about.

The hostel facilities are between good to average. There are 6 floors in the hostel alloted to first years named BH-5. There are facilities like common room, gym, tt room, badminton court in the hostel. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are quite good and clean. The floors are clean and the mess is good.

- The infrastructure of the college is great. The college is well equipped with labs. Library is also great.
- The sports facilities are decent. There is a heated swimming pool available with an instructor. The football and cricket ground are also very good.
Dislikes
- The social life here is dull. There are not many events. Fest is also not that great
- The attendance criteria is quite rigorous here. It becomes tough to maintain your attendance.
Hostel Facilities:
The hostel is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The wasrooms are regularly cleaned. There are 4 washrooms on each floor. The mess is fully air-conditioned. The menu changes after evey 2-3 minths and consists of food items from every part of India. There is a sweet dish for dinner everyday. The taste of the food is decent and food is edible. Hostel will be allotted to you when you come for physical reporting after Jossa allocation. The hostel allotment process is quite easy and can be completed in 15-20 minutes Overall the hostel and mess is very good.

- Gender ratio at iiita is very good, much better than any other government engineering college it's around 1:3
- The campus size is of 100 acre which is perfect not too less not too much it's very easy to go to classes from hostel.
Dislikes
- Iiita lacks sports facilities, there are very less sports facilities
- The schedule is very hectic you got classes all day

There are hostels provided by the college for residence of students. Hostel rooms are of double sharing, the room is very spacious for two people, the room includes 2 cupboard, 2 table, 2 beds and 2 chairs rest you have to buy yourself. The washrooms are decent hygienic and the lobby is also very clean hostels are equipped with lift also. Hostel includes the mess at the ground floor which provides various types of food. The hostel Is very affordable.

- I likes the percentage of placements which is close to 100% which means almost all students get placed each year
- I liked the Average Package of IIIT Allahabad which is around 30 lakhs
Dislikes
- Each day is very hectic for a student. Especially 2nd year
- Sports facility is not available in good conditions
Hostel Facilities:
The hostel facilities are well maintained, offering double and single occupancy rooms. Each room has 2 cupboards, windows for ventilation, tables, chairs etc. The meal offered is not that good and of low quality. The registration process is simple and hostels are affordables (7000/- per person per semester).

- One of the best placement. It offers one of the best placement
- one of the best coding culture. it promote awesome coding culture.
Dislikes
- Location of college, college is located in remote area
- Costly and only 3 courses for undergraduate
Hostel Facilities:
Hostel facility is also good. There are 5 hostels for boys. You are alloted based on the semester in which you are studying. The food quality is same as you will find in any other colleges which is average. The mess fee for each semester is around 24000. You are given single or double rooms based on your choice. Single room costs 14000 per semester while double sharing room cost around 7000. This is included in your semester fee which i discussed earlier.
Hostel Facilities:
Hostel Accomodation is quite good. ( 9 / 10). Mess food is fairly good. (7/10). Registration process is done itself in the campus once enrolled. No provision of locally rented rooms or PG since hostel and mess fees are compulsory.

- The strength in IIITA for IT is 350 which takes coding culture to next level.
- Research and development activities are inclined towards IT sector which may help in future.

- There is only one ground for cricket and football.
- Less support is provided for extra curricular

Until 2 year we need to share double rooms although there is a facility to opt for single room in certain conditions. From 3rd year onwards we get single room. Hostels are in good condition and are only old 10- 12 years. Hostel fees is compulsory and is included at the time of semester fees payment. Mess food is average.

- The Placements in the college are very good. In spite of recession the placement stats of the year 2024 are quite good i.e. 26 lakhs is the average package.
- The campus area is also good. There is a football ground , volleyball and basketball grounds also in the campus.
Dislikes
- The sports facilities are not up to the mark.
- The events are not conducted properly and not on a regular basis.

The hostel facilities are moderate. The food quality of the mess is also bad. But the mess provides special dinner twice a year. The hostels are allocated during the admission only. You will only get a bed , study table , chair , fan and lights in the room and the room will be double sharing for 1st year students.

No, there are no personal bathrooms available in the hostels of IIIT Allahabad for both boys and girls. However, research scholars do have their own bathrooms. Here is how the bathroom facilities at IIIT Allahabad hostels are
- A single floor in a boys' hostel has 4 corridors with 10 rooms each. Since the rooms are shared, around 20 single and 20 double rooms totaling 60–80 people on a single floor. A single floor has 4 large bathrooms on each corner.
- A typical bathroom has 4 showers, 3 wash basins, 3 Indian toilets, 1 western toilet, and 3 urinals. In all, there are 16 showers, 12 wash basins, 12 Indian toilets, 4 western toilets, and 12 urinals on a single floor that is used by 80 people.
- The ratio is approximately 1:5 (showers), 1:7 (basins), 1:5 (toilets), 1:7 (urinals).

You will find various opinions about the condition of the girl’s hostel in IIIT Allahabad. Following are some highlights of conditions faced by one of my friends who stayed there:
- The condition of the girl’s hostel is quite good, as compared to other institutes. There are instances of encounters with lizards in the washroom, which makes some students get very scared instantly.
- For fresher, there are double occupancy rooms in a separate hostel. On average, 3 washrooms and 3 bathrooms are provided for 12 girls in the hostel.
- There is a terrace on the first floor of the girl’s hostel. A common room for table tennis and gym equipment is provided too in the hostel.
- The washrooms are washed daily and corridors are mopped once in a while. So, it can be concluded that good cleanliness is maintained, though it depends a lot on the residents.
- Not just lizards, but also rats and insects are often seen in the hostel sometimes.
These are some of the facts known about the girl’s hostel in IIIT Allahabad. Overall, it is considered to be decent, with the problem of lizards and insects sometimes.

It’s quite a big campus with impressive infrastructure. In my opinion, one of the best things that you can get here is internet services. There is unlimited access to the internet 24*7 in all corners of the campus as well as a hostel both through LAN and WiFi.
There is a total of 5 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel that ensure smooth accommodation of all the students of IIIT Allahabad. Although there’s little variety in the food available it is still not too bad. For sports and other related activities, there is an option of a swimming pool, badminton courts, squash, snooker, table tennis, lawn tennis, football ground to name a few.
The hostel rooms are quite spacious as compared to many other college hostels and they are properly ventilated and lit. There is a bed, a table, a chair, and one almirah provided in every room at the hostel.
Since it is a newly constructed campus, the bathrooms and other facilities are quite well maintained. Moreover, cleanliness and hygiene are also paid attention to and the management and the authorities take very good care about it.
Overall, there are very few issues and complaints that one might have throughout his stay at IIIT Allahabad.

One of my friends stayed at the IIIT Allahabad Hostel and according to him here are the things that you should take with you to the IIIT Allahabad hostel.
- Passport size photographs- Keep 5 to 6 copies safely in an envelope.
- Mark sheets- Xerox copies of your original mark sheets of Class 10 and 12.
- Have xerox copies of documents like Aadhar card, PAN card, etc.
- An electric kettle.
- Hangers to have your clothes in place.
- A pair of formal outfits- Shirts, trousers, and shoes for formal occasions.
- Medicines- Some general supplements for cough and cold.
- Broom to keep your room clean.
- Other necessities like nail cutter, shaving kit, towels, and bucket-mug, etc.
- Bottles to store drinking water.
- Other essentials like toiletries, electronics (earphones, charger, etc), first aid box, etc.

Yes, IIIT Allahbad has made it compulsory all the students to be day scholars living in the hostels. The hostel facilities are available for about 500 students It consists of three hostels GH 1, GH 2 and GH 3. There are mess and gymnasium facilities available with a 24 hours of guidance of caretakers. Instead, there are basket ball courst, badminton court in front of the girls hostel. The starting hostel fee is INR 9.80 thousand per year.
