A review of Msc food tech course of University of Allahabad. A great place to learn and grow.

Likes

Campus, faculty, and overall everything.
Campus life is very busy . You get 9-5 lectures+ practicals.
Infrastructure is very good and the course is worth pursuing. It has a good scope and opportunity if you are interested in working in food industry.

Dislikes

The term exams are held very frequently and sometimes students gets very less time for preparation of the exams.

Placement Experience:

After completing 3rd semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Many beverages and food companies visit for campus placements. Average package is 2.5 laks and highest package is 4-5 lakhs. 75% students get placement. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue PhD.

My college, not the best but also not the worst

Regular classes and timely sessions and timely exam sessions
Highly educated and well trained faculty members
Anti ragging college campus and highly neat and clean environment

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not soo good. Building are old build

I have interest in the field of chemistry and this is also a job oriented field in filed of chemicals and research . Department have a faculty of 12 members including Associate professor assistant prfessor and guest faculty. All the facilty members have Phd and are Net qualified . Exam are held timely with moderate difficulty level

Less Polluted campus as more trees are planted inside the campus.
Every sports are available with seperate grounds or courts.

Dislikes

I don't like the environment of campus like students only talk about UPSC,SSC and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got interested in materials and my marks were not enough to get me into chemistry so I chose materials science. All the faculty are Ph.D. holders from IITs and 6:12 that are the ratio of faculty-student. The teaching method is great and 3 tests per semester and of course exams per semester.

The workshop conducted by teachers for us.

The washroom are not cleaned and some more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of my interest in botany ( in plants). The facility is good and the ratio of students is 55 to 60 The teachers are PhD qualified and they teach well. The exams were semester and the syllabus was too broad to cover and had some difficulties passing the exam.

Amazing with some shortages

Likes

faculty are very linient and helpful. they are always in helping mood. they provide pdf's and ppt for the class which you missed.
classes are clean and maintained. the board is near to you so students who are unable to see is helpful to them. they have projector for the easy learning by audio-visual activity
they have green and fresh flowers all over the garden, which is very helpful in maintaining focus while studying. They have no. of specimens for studying.

Dislikes

the building is very old and maintenance is not done by the colleges. faculty on time.
the electronic equipment are old and not upto date.
the no. of faculty is declining day by day as it is a semi goverment college .. no new faculty is hired

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course was easy. the course is of two years with no. of workshops at least 1 or 2 in a year. faculty strength is 15 to 20 and highly educated with at least 6 yrs of experience. exams are held on time, results may be delayed sometimes.

Exploring the things about my college

Likes

There is no such many senior junior thing.
Practical knowledge is good
Infrastructure is good

Dislikes

Activities related to fun
There must be given more attention towards the placement cell.

Placement Experience:

If students is persuning M.sc then from the 3rd sem they get chance to seat in the campus placement.And many of the students are also intiate the business, startup and many of the go for the higher studies.From this year about 35% of the students get placed.Lowest package 2 lacs and highest 5.2lacs .

Firstly it is near to my home. Secondly course in this University is affordable. Good and Highly qualified professors as it is one of the Central Universities in India. Admission is given to a candidate according to the merit list that is prepared after entrance exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MSc physics is a great course in itself and if u are doing from AU then it is a golden one of all. The faculty is great. Well qualified teachers and lab assistants with advanced digital libraries. The labs are equipped with great equipment and great experiment apparatus.
