ISDC is also known as Ishwar Saran Degree College, is a Constituent college in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1970, and is recognised by UGC. It has been accredited with a B+ NAAC grade, and it is affiliated with the University of Allahabad.

ISDC Campus Infrastructure & Facilities 2025

ISDC provides a lot of facilities for the students by building a technology-friendly environment in various locations on the campus. The provided facilities are:

Library:The college has a separate newly built Library building.The Library has reading halls at the ground floor. One Reading hall is for UG students and other for PG & Research students. The reading halls can accommodate two hundred fifty students. E-Library having 20 latest systems is fully functional for Research Scholars to access the e-resources.
Language Lab: A Language Laboratory is a dedicated space for foreign language learning (here specifically English)where students get access to audio or audio-visual materials. The Language Lab Systems allow a teacher to listen to and manage students’ audio, which is delivered to individual students through headsets or in isolated 'sound booths.'
Reference Library: Reference Library hall is situated in the main building. It is exclusively for Teachers and Research Scholars. This section collects and manages the Reference Books, Encyclopedias, Journals, Reports, Seminar proceedings, etc. which contain the latest information on current developments of a branch of knowledge.
Museum: The Museum has been developed by the Department of Ancient History, Culture & Archaeology of the college in order to study practical aspects of archaeological and historical artifacts and to understand the development of civilisation and culture.

In Automobile specialisations, the student would have acquired relevant appropriate and adequate technical knowledge together with the professional skills and competencies in the field of Automobile Servicing so that he/she is properly equipped to take up gainful employment in this Vocation.The vision of Food Processing specialisations encompasses food science, food production, food processing, food technology, food safety, food management, entrepreneurship development, etc. The department has adequate facilities in terms of infrastructure and well equipped laboratories. Ques. How ISDC addresses Ragging issues in the campus?

Ans. Ragging ordinarily means any act, conduct or practice by which dominant power or status of senior students is brought to bear on students freshly enrolled or students who are in any way considered junior or inferior by other students.Ragging in ISDC in any form is strictly prohibited within the college premises as well as on public transport. Any individual or collective act or practice of ragging constitutes gross indiscipline. Actions like Involve physical assault or threat, and/or use of physical force, Violate the status, dignity and honour of women students,and honour of students belonging to the scheduled castes and tribes are considered offensive in ISDC. IsDC, the college amidst peace

Likes

Environment is very good especially the ambience and quietness. It really helps to focus on studies and being a central university is very hard to find peaceful environment in any other colleges under UA
Teachers are very supportive and the staff is also very great. Any issue regarding furnishing and needs of students and also they do consider to create discipline unlike other colleges that only consider studies
Also the infrastructure is very new. Plants and flowers all around and the ground is really big if you need to keep things out of mind and go out for a walk. It really is surrounded by trees providing good environment.

Dislikes

The library needs to be renewed cause the university is very old and due to this strong need of library because students need to look for books and process of getting a book is tough and time consuming.
Also the need for time management is very important. Students have to stay at college for far too long time and it becomes exhaustive after 6 hours to sit without break. It reduces drive to study afte sometime.
Class shifts are sometimes irregular although not very big issue but still it can be looked at. Sometimes teachers are very strict and feels like more of a school and less of a college we are in and that's one issue.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

Well the ballb is one really hard course which requires a lot of focus and efforts to perform well in. Most of the times students don't perform good because of harshness in copy checking. Although the course and curriculum matches, what's best is that moot courts help for practical application of course and college really puts a lot of efforts into this

Yearly fees structure of the course and scholarship

The fees for new enrollment is 50000 for one year. After that it reduces to 45000 per year, including other fees such as registration and admission fees. I paid 45000 a few days ago for my 3rd year admission. Also there are miscellaneous fees for cards but very affordable. Scholarships include Uttarpradesh scholarship scheme because the college is under central university jurisdiction.

Various events and infrastructure of the college

A lot of annual and weekly events are held in the premises. Hostels are a not far and campus life is also great. No issue of Ragging in college and also the environment also increases your campus experiences. Smart classes are available and you can also get extra classes in auditorium for better insight. Ncc camps and moot camps are also prevelant

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

So students to faculty is not proper disturbed because sometimes teachers have to also work harder due to less staff of teachers. It really requires some changes and more teachers must be enrolled. Staff is easily communicable that's sure but you have to be very polite at times. Also copy checking is very harsh and a lot of students who don't study properly and attend classes tend to fail.

Admission process of the college and eligibility criteria

Okay so Cuet is important to qualify before getting enrolled in this college. The cutoff varies as per reservation and others but it generally stays between 450 to 410 minimum. Also I got chance in Allahabad University main campus but due to waiting for BHU I got late and couldn't get admission there. I got call from BHU but i couldn't go due to its location was far and parents couldn't allow. Minimum eligibility depends on university guidelines

Is good then u clear the colleage cutoff and take admission easily. Opinion and Overview of ISDC

Dislikes

The sports facility is not as much active as it is supposed to be.
Sanitary and maintenance of washroom and all is little bit unsatisfactory.

I have chosen the main campus of this college which is University of Allahabad but due to high cut off and my poor performance in the CUET examination, I chosed to study here. I have chosen Ishwar Sharan degree College over CMP, ECC because of the ratings and comments on all the colleges. After comparing all the aspects of the three colleges I preferred ISDC among the three. The admission process is quite easy for which student should apply for this college after CUET exam. However it is not compulsory to appear for CUET exam to get admitted to this college. Soon after release of cutoff after the CUET examination the admission process for the college starts for both CUET and non CUET students. The admission process is quite easier and you just have to fill your personality academic details and upload some demanded documents and after that page for the selection of subject combinations appears where you have to select the subject combination and pay the fees accordingly because the fees with respect to different subject combinations varies.

I applied for bhu and Delhi colleges I got confirmed admission in allahabad degree college and cmp degree college but I choose because they provide good teachers I reject others college because they don't give proper teaching in my college you have to give cuet and take admission on merit basis

Nature and environment of our department is so fresh. One good thing is that you wont get any students doing timepass in our department during lectures

Admission:

I choose iswar saran degree college because of it discipline and the name and fame it has received through its work and through its ptoducts as students who are doing great in there life studing from here. I had option of taking other colleges too but i choose this as few of my seniors and family and friends and even as a famous college random colleagues told all good about this college among others.

Admission process is just by cuet ug no other options are taken and if you cracks you eating you can go eligible for this college isdc. You will fill form for Allahabad University and also for this. CuET is hard in a exam to crack in which I got rejected from Allahabad University main campus but I got placed in isdc which is also an Allahabad University branch campus. Aur can say affiliated.

An overview of ISDC of Allahabad University from the perspective of ISDC student already enrolled there.

Likes

The number boys were more than that of girls but the social interaction wasn't bad
The central library there was also nice and the surrounding buildings looked quite pleasing to the eyes though small but well maintained.

Dislikes

In terms of cleaning the garden area and the way between departments wasn't well cleaned and also You would find some stray dogs here and there
The place wasn't well maintained especially the department of commerce the faculty there was also not that good
The department of commerce wasn't pleasing to the eyes the building and railings almost looked very old like an old home which was on the verge of collapse

Admission:

I applied for university of Allahabad and scored 289 in CUET As I was from unreserved category I couldn't get admission in the main campus as the last cut off for unreserved category was 340 + so I applied to some other affiliated colleges which was ECC , CMP , and ISDC out of which I couldn't get admission in ECC because the fees there was about 38000 something which I didn't have at the time and I had also applied for Integerated program BBA+MBA And I was in the merit list for this course but the fees was too high which was 60000 per semester so I had no choice but to look for other affiliated colleges and I chose ISDC as it was near the place I was currently staying at so I got myself admitted there as I got enough marks to get admitted in any of affiliated colleges except for AU main campus cause I was short of 50 something marks

Admission:

There are several reasons of chossing this college such as I saw that it was easy for me to go this college regularly and there was issue of marks and the another reason that my family also live near this college and it was good for me and I also get recommendations from my coaching teacher and my friends and father that it was a good college and I would select if before taking admission in this college I aslo personally researched about this college and get feedbacks from the la students of this college then I chosed this , so these were the reasons for chossing this college

IsDC, the college amidst peace

Likes

Environment is very good especially the ambience and quietness. It really helps to focus on studies and being a central university is very hard to find peaceful environment in any other colleges under UA
Also the infrastructure is very new. Plants and flowers all around and the ground is really big if you need to keep things out of mind and go out for a walk. It really is surrounded by trees providing good environment.

Dislikes

Class shifts are sometimes irregular although not very big issue but still it can be looked at. Sometimes teachers are very strict and feels like more of a school and less of a college we are in and that's one issue.
Also the need for time management is very important. Students have to stay at college for far too long time and it becomes exhaustive after 6 hours to sit without break. It reduces drive to study afte sometime.
The library needs to be renewed cause the university is very old and due to this strong need of library because students need to look for books and process of getting a book is tough and time consuming.
