Ques. What facilities are provided in TNAU Hostels?

Ans. The University main campus has separate hostels for boys and girls with requisite infra-structural facilities. There are six hostels for boys and four for girls supported by modern kitchen cum dining hall. Additionally, Norman Borlaug International Hostel is available for accommodating International students and professors quarters for visiting fellows and external experts. A refreshment home is also functioning to cater to the food needs of the day-scholars, staff and visitors. Students who are given admission in the hostel are required to join the mess. The mess offers simple, but full-fledged meals at moderate rates, which may vary from time to time depending on the cost of the meals served. Safety ensured by multi-level monitoring by teaching staff viz., Residential Tutors, Assistant Wardens and a Warden in the cadre of Professor. Each hostel has its own Residential Tutor, a teaching faculty who administers the hostels.

Ques. How is the Infrastructure of TNAU?

Ans. All the TNAU colleges have well constructed buildings accommodating and meeting all administrative and teaching needs with all the basic amenities like furniture, surplus water supply and uninterrupted electricity. In addition, big meeting halls, auditorium and farm lands are also available. To get hands on experience with the latest technologies, all the colleges have very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment, etc. All colleges are now equipped with latest computer products and internet connectivity. Additional resources such as printers, wireless internet connectivity (wi-fi zones) for use in laptops are also be provided by the colleges. Smart classrooms have equipments such as laptops, cameras, printers, projectors, etc. and are readily accessible to students.

Ques. What services do Dining Area and Cafeteria of TNAU offer?

Ans. There is one centralized kitchen cum dining hall for ladies students, two modernized kitchen for gents’ students. In all the hostels both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian foods are being served. Dividing system is being followed mess run by the students and monitored by the Wardens. All the messes / dinning halls in the hostels are fully equipped with water purifiers, steam cooking system, steam plate washing systems and invertors for uninterrupted power supply. In addition to the above, FM radio/ music systems and coffee makers have also been provided at dining halls. The Student’s Cafeteria facility is available for both boys and girls near play ground. All the essential requirements including stationeries are being supplied to the students. The edible items at a low cost are being supplied for the benefit of the students.

Not just UG or PG but even doctoral programs were offered in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Our college fees was 1.2 lakhs a year and hostel was mandatory as it was in a village. The hostel was 80k a year and fees were allowed to be paid in installments of 4. So it was easy to pay the fees as it wasn't needed to be paid upfront.

There is industrial quota which has the initial payment of 12lakhs and the NRI quota is about 2.5 lakhs per semester. There is another scholarship based the caste category.

There are totally 8 semesters, so 20000 per semester is tution fees which includes tour fees .We have fees for hostel mess which is depend on the food you are taking it differs from 3000 to 5000 per month . We can get scholarship for 1st graduate certificate, which is 4500 per semester, this amount is directly sent to college so they reduce this amount from semester fees. You can get community scholarship also .

I got enrolled to this college throught ICAR under the examination of cuet. As an ICAR student I am getting a stipend of scholarship of 18000 for six months that 3000 per month. This scholarship is given to the students who are getting enrolled under ICAR in different state to encourage atudents to go out of their state to get exposed to new environment. The fee structure is of 20000 to 23000/- rs per semester which in total will be of about 45000/- per year.

Strict curriculum, exams are conducted on time

Dislikes

Class schedule is hectic,7:30 to 5:30 norma days, days with ped until 6:30 pm
Field trips are mandatory, but most of the trips are wrecked, make you to go at end of sem, near to exam days

iIgot admission here through ICAR quota.., so for all odd sem you have to give 23000 and even sem 20000., Total 8 sem, including all india trip, rawe experience. Since you're an icar candidate you will receive 3000 per month as NTS. Therefore you won't get any other scholarship., for getting NTS you shouldn't be applied in your same native universities

There is lot of writing work to do its so hard.

Fees and Financial Aid:

There is not yearly fees we want to pay fees semester after semester.As I am first graduate my semster fees range from 15000 to 20000 and there is a community scholarship opportunity.My other batchmates those who not first graduate want to pay around 20000 to 25000. Scholarship provided by here is community reservation scholarship for merit students.
