Dr YSR Horticulture University Collaborates with TNAU for Technologies, Programs and Research

MOU was signed between TNAU and Dr YSR Horticulture University for the exchange of scientific information, research and methodology.

New Delhi: An agreement was signed between Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore regarding the new technologies, programmes, and research.

The agreement between Dr. YSR Horticultural University and TNAU aims to facilitate the exchange of scientific technologies, information, germplasm and methodologies, research, education and extension, and registration of candidates for PhD programmes and Master’s degrees between YSRHU and TNAU.

An official statement from TNAU faculty said, “Dr YSR Horticultural University is committed to developing the need for technologies and manpower to resolve the problems related to horticulture and enable the horticultural farmers in Andra Pradesh to make horticulture as the most remunerative enterprise”.

T Janakiram, VC of Dr YSR Horticultural University faculty pointed out the need for this collaboration, and Vice Chancellor of TNAU, V Geethalakshmi has given her for this agreement, the university said.

The agreement was signed at TNAU in the presence of P Irene Vethamoni, dean (Horticulture), Horticultural College and Research Institute. The agreement was signed by B Srinivasulu, registrar, and R Thamizh Vendhan, registrar, TNAU, Dr Horiticultual University. Deans and Directors of various directorates of TNAU attended the signing ceremony.
