College of Agriculture Technology (CAT) was set up in 2010 with the devoted efforts of Dr. V.L.K. Balaraman, forgoing Agriculture Scientist in ICAR. College of Agriculture Technology is located at the foothills of Western Ghats, Theni, Tamil Nadu. The college is accredited by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU), Coimbatore.
CAT, Theni offers an undergraduate B.Sc. degree in Agriculture and Horticulture. The minimum eligibility to apply for a B.Sc. course is 10+2 and the selection of the candidates is purely merit-based.

College of Agriculture and Technology Training & Placement Cell is activated and led by placement team, contain faculty from each department. More than 30 students were selected for IAS coaching by APTITUTE Test held by PSDCMF Academy. ICAR coaching is also conducted on regular basis by college faculty members mainly in subjects Social Science, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Soil Science, and Agriculture Statistics. The college provides different internship opportunities for final year students at landscaping firms in Coimbatore.

- Experimental Labs: The college offers 8 different laboratories exclusively for course work. The labs are well – equipped and well - structured with the latest technology in use.
- Hostel: The college facilitates inside campus well-structured hostels for both boys and girls total rooms for girls are 88 and total rooms for boys are 50. In the hostel, students are facilitated with a mattress, pillow, and bed sheet by the hostel management along with free Wi-Fi, power, and medical facility.
- Cafeteria: The College provides a cafeteria for students to have their meals at reasonable prices. The cafeteria has various south Indian snacks, coffee makers, and soft drinks. A handwashing facility is also available. The cafeteria is facilitated with bamboo shades to make the ambiance attractive.
- Health Care Facilities: The College offers health care facilities today scholars also along with night scholars. A doctor is available 24*7 for any emergency and students heath care.
- Library: The College has a library with a large number of books available to increase the knowledge of students. College library has following rules in order to use the facility of library students are advised to follow library rules. Without ID cards books will not be issued.
- Sports Facility: The college motivates students to participate in at least one sports or cultural program and conduct various state level and university level competitions.

There are nearly 30 pvt. Clgs in tamilnadu.But this is the only college which is started earlier.so the number of passet out is many. College infrastructure is also good while comparing with other pvt. Colleges.It is the only pvt. Clg to have ICAR accreditations in tamilnadu.one can opt PG entrance exam only if the clg is accredited with ICAR according to latest notifications.Hence this is the only private college with ICAR accreditation.The only college without uniforms.We also have atleast 5 outdoor tours during each semester.Final years will have ALL INDIA tour for 25 days.
