• As far as the placements are considered, many IT companies visit for bulk placements and recruit Geoinformatics students. One of the core companies that comes for placements is ESRI India.

Honestly speaking, a part-time M.Tech course is not of much worth. A course like M.Tech requires a practical approach. This won't be much possible at Anna University. Research: Research is the most impressive feature of this course. The funding provided by the Center for Technology Development and Transfer during the third year is extremely helpful and encourages students to take up research.

Faculty: Although the faculty is extremely supportive, some of them lack specialization in materials science.

Course: The course has a variety of options for electives. It is extremely structured and moderate-paced. 

Infrastructure: This is where the course lacks the most. It does not have a separate department and operates under the department of Mechanical Engineering. Also, there is a lack of equipment required for the course.

Alumni: The number of alumni is less as the course has recently started. But most of them are now working at extremely good universities around the world and India or are placed in very good companies (both in core materials science and IT). 

Internships: CEG renders excellent exposure. A vast amount of undergrads perform research in various laboratories across the world during their second and third years. This helps in securing jobs in the future.
