The better life journey

The college environment are good and the college environment are greenary
The college faculty are good and they are well experienced staffs and they are friendly
The teaching are good they support our ideas for project and provide internship in first year also

Dislikes

Nothing more to dislike about in our college
But some negative things are there like wifi in hostel etc...,

Now our college is an autonomous institution which has its connection world wide and can provide placement with average package of 9 lpa and After the autonomous now our college is concentrating more cultural events, sports and other events
Our college is located in the border of Tamilnadu and Kerala border in coimbatore with greenary view and with chill climate which makes us pleasant

Dislikes

About the infrastructure of college which is quite smaller compared to other colleges in coimbatore
Electricity and water issues in hostel makes un comfortable with the campus
Less response of hostel wardens in case of any problems

The college is not encouraging the sports activities.
The syllabus can be more practical but here it is theoretical

Which ranks higher, VIT or Anna University Chennai?

First of all, don’t trust the official figures regarding rankings for colleges. They are misleading and are meant for advertisement purposes only. No good college needs to show itself at the top of the rankings.

Now comparing VIT and Anna University, Anna University is definitely better in the ranking than VIT. Its CEG branch is at another level and not on par with VIT at all. Some points that support this opinion are:

Student quality at Anna University is better than at VIT.
VIT is a private university therefore more expensive than AU
The curriculum is harder in AU than in VIT, but the assessments are direct and easy here.
Placement opportunities are better at AU because of the variety of companies that visit the campus in contrast to the mass IT recruits that happen in VIT.

All these points strongly favor my opinion. One thing to keep in mind here is that when I say Anna University is better I mean the main campuses (CEG, MIT, ACT) not the affiliated colleges.

One of my friends is a CEG alumni. He thinks it’s the best option for CSE. Some strong points that support his opinions are:

Faculty: The faculty of CEG is of good quality. Many are experienced and alumni of CEG themselves.
Diverse Background: CEG welcomes a mix crown. Your peers are from everywhere across India and this makes it a more thrilling experience.
Rules and Regulations: CEG does not impose unnecessary rules on its students. They are given an extent of freedom.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and laboratories are well equipped. Canteen food is of good quality at very low cost.
Network: CEG has excellent Wi-Fi facilities.
Hostel: Although the food is of average quality, the cost of hostels is less. The buildings are poor but in good condition.
Extracurricular activities: CEG believes in exposure to extracurricular activities other than academics.
Global Recognition: CEG has excellent recognition among foreign universities.

So overall CEG is the best option of all the other colleges you mentioned. But the placements at CS are better.

So the conclusion is CEG > SSN > SRM/Amrita.
