Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Inside the campus of IIT bhubaneswar

Likes

The atmosphere is really nice here, very peaceful
Various sports equipment and gym is available for work outs
Hostel quality is very good and food is not that bad also

Dislikes

Far away from the main city so it's hard to go out everyday
Mess food quality is not that great and transportation is not good
Very less places inside campus to hangout with friends

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is quite good, more than 80 percent students get placed every year. Many reputed companies like Google Microsoft comes to the campus for placement. Even PSUs come to recruit from the campus

Review of IIT BHUBANESWAR

Likes

I like mostly the infrastructure, hostel rooms, food , and lab facilities
Here extracurricular activities like music clubs, dancing clubs, gym khana and transport facilities provided free to cities
Here super markets available and cafe house available at each department front

Dislikes

During summer it is hard to be in hostel in top floor
Large area and vehicles are not allowed to masters degrees and bachelor degrees so cycling is only option after bus

Placement Experience:

100 percentage placement this year 2024 and previous one (2023). Highest package is in CSE department and in our department 13lpa is highest and avarage package is 10 lpa. So pretty good to join here. My plans to persue PHD after this.

Likes

Placement opportunities, cooperative faculties
Mess food, tight security, knowledgeable seniors
Diverse culture, multilingual classmates

Dislikes

Tropical climate, distance from the city
Behaviour of public transport operators outside the campus
Costly public transport for going to railway station

Placement Experience:

Placements in IIT Bhubaneswar are decent enough. In SMMME, companies like applied materials are frequent recruiters. Professors help to get placed in companies like tata steel and other such metallurgical companies through their excellent network and references.

My college My experience

Likes

Environment, infrastructure is quite good. Large campus about 950 acres.
Student activities center is really excellent.
The Faculty are students friendly they help personally and professionally.

Dislikes

Humidity is too much during hot days, irritating.
For each and everything we need to depend on cycling.
No much enjoyment or hangout places near campus.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite good. A person will good nskill set will definitely get a better package compared to others. Average package will be around 500000 and highest will go around 600000 depending on branch.

IIT BBS & it's life

Likes

The college infrastructure is very good. It provides an ample amount of research opportunities. It also provides an extensive curriculum for the students
The placement opportunities are also good in this college.
The hostel life is also good and the campus is very spacious

Dislikes

The campus is very far away from city creating lots of problems in travel.
The campus doesn't have enough sports opportunities for students.
The campus being made by cutting hills provide a lot of challenges while using bicycles.

Placement Experience:

The institute being a premier ones boasts a good amount of placement. Almost every year it provides more than 85% placement for all the branches and 100% of selective branches too. The companies where the students are placed are also reputed ones and get well paid jobs

A Review of IIT Bhubaneswar

Likes

Here labs are very good you will get every instrument to do your research work
Hostels are very good you will get single room
Professors are always available to clear your doubts

Dislikes

Too hectic schedule and too much coarse work
Location is very remote you have to pay rs200 auto charge to go to city
There is only one shop to daily use things

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year of your Mtech course you are eleigible for placement. Compant like lnt ,afcons, atkins come n the college the offer upto 8lpa almost everyone get placement in my course. This year only one guy is unplaced.

It's all about Structural Engineering at IIT BBS

Likes

Faculty is well educated and have good grip in subjects
Easy to approach the professors make it more cool environment.
Hostel is quite good , and with single seating occupancy

Dislikes

Management is not doing well, need to improve.
Hostel food and less technology used in hostel
This campus should have more supermarkets and shops

Placement Experience:

It is good, mostly all students are placed in every session. Since the capacity of class is very low, everyone figure out something and either they get placed or pursue higher education so overall 100% placement.

Likes

Campus is good , hostel facilities are good.
Facilities are good and are of supporting nature.
Sport facilities in campus are good enough.

Dislikes

Mess food can be better Mess menu is not that good
Lack of shopping complexes in campus. Only 2 shopping complex are there.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent for Computer science related branches. For structural engineering there is 100% Placement record. Package varies from 6.25 lakh to 8 lpa . One can get into good companies from here and Packages increase after getting experience.

Entrance Preview:

GATE and JEE (Mains and Advanced) were the two exams given by me. I scored well in both of them and got selected at two IITs, out of which I selected this one. I submitted my academic transcripts (class 12th scorecard, graduation degree, JEE, and GATE score), financial documents, and identity proof for verification.

Placement Experience:

The college's placement criteria are well-known among India's IITs, and IIT Bhubaneswar is well-known for its placement achievements and packages. Every year, the college is capable of maintaining a 100% placement rate, with the greatest placement offers reaching 58 LPA and the average wage package being around 20 LPA. As compared to other universities of its level, the college's ROI is excellent. The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
