A Review of IIT Bhubaneswar

My course is very satisfactory because i have alot of intrest in geotechnology. Here you would know about the latest aspect of the geotechnology which will be new to the worl. Here labs are very good all the equipments are available you can use whenever you want to use no one will everyone will encourage you to do research. Here faculty are very knowlegable and always reachable you can contact whenever you want. Here they also take you to site so that you can understand what happen in the site and how thing work in coperate world.

From 2nd year of your Mtech course you are eleigible for placement. Compant like lnt ,afcons, atkins come n the college the offer upto 8lpa almost everyone get placement in my course. This year only one guy is unplaced.

There is a monthly stipend of Rs. 12400 from MHRD for M.Tech students. IIT Bhubaneswar have 2nd lowest fees among all the IITs. Here you have to pay Rs 5900 as one time deposite fees during admission. Tusion fees is Rs5000 per semester, semester fees of Rs 6500 per semester Hostel fees of 8500 per semester, mess fees of Rs 18000 per semester and medical insurance fees of 2390 per year. Apart fron this you have to pay a caution deposite of 12000 during admission which is refunded after coarse completion.

There are lot of clubs in this college but you will not get time to join any club because course work is very hectic you will have classes from 8 in the morning to 7 in the evening. Professor may also call you for extra classes even on saturday or sunday. If you are here for study or resaarch work then this place is heaven for you you will get top class lab with latest equipment and very knowlageable professors. Here library are also very good you can access inmorning from 7am upto 2am in the night. For sport point of view this college is very good you will get professional coach for every sport you want and you can access playing area 24*7.

You will get single room with one bed, table and chair. Wifi facility will also be available. Here it is compulssary to take hostel you are not allowed to stay outside the campus. Mess food quality is also very good here

Admission in IIT Bhubaneswar for Mtech program is done through GATE. For my course the candidadate must have B.tech or BE in civil engineering from AICTE approved college and candidate must have above 6.5 cgpa in their undergraduate coarse. For student fron IITs they have direct admission benefit if the score above 8.5 cgpa in their undergraduate course. For getting admission in my cousre you have to atleast score 480 gate score in general category, 440 for obc approx 400 in sc and st category. After getting GATE result you have to enroll COAP portal for councelling and also you have to apply in IIT Bhubansewar on their website which will open within few weeks of GATE result. There will be total five round of councelling are done in COAP portal in which for first five round of councelling you will have three option of accept, wait or retain. You can retain any coarse upto only two times in last five round of councelling you will have only two option accept or reject.

Yes ,there is a personal interview and written exam which is 15% weitage and 85% of GATE to make your overall score. In this test they ask very basic question of subject and each interview can go upto 30 to 45 minutes.
