 IIT Bhubaneswar Opens Admission for Blended M.Tech 2026–27

IIT Bhubaneswar has invited applications for admission to its M.Tech programme in Advanced Maintenance Technology (Blended Mode) for the Autumn 2026–27 academic session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website (iitbbs.ac.in), on or before May 31, 2026. The programme is specially designed for working professionals and does not require a valid GATE score.

According to the IIT Bhubaneswar, the course is offered in blended mode, where lectures will be conducted online during evenings or weekends. However, laboratory sessions and examinations will be held in person on campus. The minimum duration of the course is two years, while candidates can complete it at a flexible pace within five years. Admissions will be conducted once a year in the Autumn semester.

IIT Bhubaneswar M.Tech (Blended) 2026 - Selection Procedure

Candidates must hold a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of three years of industry experience at the engineering level. Candidates from Civil, Electrical and Metallurgical Engineering backgrounds are also eligible under respective schools.

Shortlisting will be based on academic performance in the qualifying degree, followed by an in-person interview. The application fee is INR 500. Selected candidates will be required to pay a one-time registration fee in addition to course-based tuition. The curriculum includes core subjects, electives, seminars and thesis work to build strong technical and management expertise in maintenance technology.
