Likes

Good sports facilities like swimming pool, cricket ground, Tennis court etc
Lush green and beautiful campus and first year hostel rooms are really big
Placements and internship are really good

Dislikes

Mess food and hostel management is very poor
First year lab equipments are not upto that level
The girl is to boy ratio is very low (approximately 20 girls in class of 120)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Institute is Autonomous so curriculum is decided by the institute. The curriculum is very conceptual. The subjects in first year mostly have relative grading (excluding Physics and Chemistry). The classes are held 6 days per week for 1st semester and 5 days per week from 2nd semester onwards. On an average we have 5 hrs of classes per day in 1st year

VNIT- The paradise as well as hell

Likes

College Fests are so engaging and works like stress busters between the hectic schedule
Sports facilities of VNIT are Top notch. It has to be best among all NITS
The infrastructure of VNIT is really good

Dislikes

hostel intime is one of worst rule. For girls It's 9 pm in first year and 10:30 from later on
Student council is so strict sometimes like they separated girls and boys in concert like school
Professors are so biased over here sometimes

Placement Experience:

VNIT is one of top 10 NITs in India. If compared to other NITS its placement is really below average. The average of cse is 11 lpa only which is too less. Also placement season is ongoing now but till now only 355/ of around 1000 studebts are placed. One become eligible from 6th semester to sit in campus placements

VNIT Nagpur college reality

Likes

Campus is green and beautiful sports facilities are good
Infrastructure is very good labs are good
Placement are decent lots of exposure is provided

Dislikes

75 percentage attendance is headache for students
W grade if 75 criteria don't get fulfilled
Academics is very hectic and grueling here

Placement Experience:

From third semester onwards students are generally get eligible for placements Companies like tata mahindra jp morgan also give some offers Highest package was around 60 lakh Around 90 percent students get placed here

Emphasis on VNIT

Likes

Campus Area is very large and exposure is good
Faculty is great and they teach very good
Attendance is 75% compulsory which is good by academic perspective

Dislikes

Gender Ratio is very low.If Class has 120 students only 30 are girls
Assignment Writing is a complete mess.They Never see what is written
Lab Equipments are faulty atleast for 1st yr labs

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well It's a autonomous University so curriculum is pretty predictable as it is set by college authorities and specific books are referred so as to get knowledge of a particular knowledge.I think Conventional Topics should be done but along with it new courses which upskills students should be introduced

Day scholar life of VNIT

Likes

The labs are nearly top notch . Every dept has a lawn except for cse
Canteen is decent . It has a great sports complex.
Cleanliness is taken care of everyday. Medical just in case. Open 24 hrs i guesss and a really big gym

Dislikes

Hectic from 2nd year onwords the curriculun gets hectic.
The distance between girls and boys hostel is very much.
The campus does not have a medical store inside it.

You get eligible from 3rd year which is 6th-7th semester . 172 companies came and 787 job offers were made in 2024-25 session . Max of 64.44 lacs per annum secured by 14 students from it major dept and a avg of 11.93 lacs package was provided for BTECH where as 6.9 lacs per annum for MTECH 66 % of students got placed I want to do masters after degree .

Likes

Sports facilities is very likable. In vnit, there is a lush green campus
Campus is very well managed and eco friendly.
Library is well managed and wifi facility also provide.

Dislikes

The mess food is not too good and not eatable.
The toilets are not that much clean and dirt is always present there.
The distance between girls and boys hostel is large.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness 10 out of 10. The curriculum is well and tough but well. And the teachers are helpful and very understable. Teachers are very polite.

The vnit review

Likes

Lush green campus, huge and very beautiful
Has great sports facilities all sports are available and separate cpurts are made for each
There is a program called student mentor program where a student is given a mentor with whom problems can be shared

Dislikes

The mess food is not up to the mark, the quality and taste of food is not great
Not all faculties are good at teaching, some are really good whereas some are really good
The intime for students is 8pm which sometimes makes us leave events midway

VNIT'from a dayskis's POV

Likes

I like the campus kind of lavish green
Professors are nice , they took tutorials for personal doubt solving
Mentorship program id the greatest thing personal guidance by seniors i given to us throughout college journey

Dislikes

Sometime wifi doesn't work in the class room complex
Computer lab occurs at the same room where , usually we use to go
Canteen is unhygienic i think , it can be more cleaner

Placement Experience:

I asked to my mentors about the placement here, they have told us , that from 3rd year onward they get internship offers , and there is the placements firm in our college , they provid mock interviews for the place that might be happen in Starting of 4th year

I like the campus of my college it's big enough and have good hostel facilities also hostel facilities are nice..
Sports facilities are also very good, grounds and equipments are very good
Cultural Festivals of college are very good

Dislikes

Quality of artists in fests should be improved
Boys and girls hostel are very far from each other
No night life intime is there which is very pathetic

Courses and curriculum is nearly same as IITs. I really like the VLSC course in which we have to do night camping in our college. it was very thrilling.for first year there are two different streams physics and chemistry in respective semesters
