What Students Say

Likes

Sports facilities is very likable. In vnit, there is a lush green campus
Campus is very well managed and eco friendly.
Library is well managed and wifi facility also provide.

Dislikes

The mess food is not too good and not eatable.
The toilets are not that much clean and dirt is always present there.
The distance between girls and boys hostel is large.

Course Curriculum Overview

I will rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness 10 out of 10. The curriculum is well and tough but well. And the teachers are helpful and very understable. Teachers are very polite.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I paid is 130000. It includes tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges. The management for sc, st is very well.

Campus Life

There are very clubs like E cell , halla bol, vighnaharta, iv labs etc are very well. The parties and events are always taking place time to time and very well managed. The senior are very helpful. The functions are very good.

Admission

The first and foremost reason is that it is a very well-reputed National institute of Technology located in Nagpur. The other features are placements, nief ranking, research facility are well. The atmosphere is very well managed.

Faculty

The ed facility is not that much good. The electrical lab teachers are also very strict. But overall academic is well managed and balanced. The exam pattern is very well and up to date with time. All faculty are well educated.

Night Life

Gym, cafeteria, library and public area are well but timing is 9pm and overall campus is time 10.30. But there is difference between in time of girls and boys. PhD scholars timings are also well like they have much freedom.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. Nice curriculum in my cource in first year 6 subject are there which are maths chemistry physical engineering drawing and mining geology classes and approx length of each class is 55 min which is nice

My Experience at VNIT Nagpur

I had Applied to Vit pune and I am getting Ai and DS there but my dream was to get an NIT so I dropped my decision and can to VNIT. I did not get any rejection from there I just rejected that college over NIT. The addmission process to get in at VNIT Nagpur is very simple you just have to go through JEE mains Exam and have to secuse atleast 96 percentile if you are an general candidate. I wanted to do Mechanical engineering.I have applied to top NIT's like Trichy ,warangal,rourkel and VNIT. I finally got vnit mechanical in the 3rd round of JOSAA councilling.
