21 Nov, 2025 MHT CET will now be conducted twice a year from 2026 onwards for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Management courses. The first session for PCM Group is tentatively scheduled from April 11 to April 19. For PCB Group, the exam is expected from April 21 to April 26, 2025. Check details. 

21 Nov, 2025 JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Registration is open @jeemain.nta.nic.in till Nov 27, 2025 (9 PM) for B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan admission. The correction window will be available on Dec 1 & 2, 2025, and JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held from Jan 21 to 30, 2026. For more details, check here.

Insightful Vision for Nagpur Institute of Technology

Admission:

The admission process was offline as the student need to visit the campus physically to complete the admission process. There are both ways like getting admission directly to the college and by the CAP-rounds also. The CAP round admission are done through the MHTCET exam that is conducted by the State of Maharastra. If the student belong to Maharastra state and the domicile is of Maharastra only then they get the concession in the college fee. The admission process starts in the Month of May-June only. Each semester is of 6 months within that there are 2 Mid-sessional papers, 1 Pre-University paper and 1 Internal practical exams is conducted by the college and the Semester exam and the External practical is conducted as per the nagpur university guidelines. All the admission process are easy and the staff are also helpfull

Good but students and faculty needs to be improved

Admission:

I was given MH-CET entrance to get admission. The cutoff was high in comparison to other branches. But I got the eligibility criteria and also had category benefits in the cutoffs. The college itself provided everything from the application form to assisting with the admission process. But as an improvement, I think that multiple forms and repetition should be considered because many people come from very long distances so it should be convenient for them too.

Yes, applications for admission to Nagpur Institute of Technology can be submitted online. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course must apply for MHT-CET through the official website. To fill out the application form, MHT- CET candidates have to follow the steps:

  • Visit the official DTE website at www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
  • For the application fee, the candidate should make a payment of INR 800 (INR 600 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through the online system only.
  • Take the Printout of the form for verification and FCs.

As per the previous cutoff analysis of the NIT Nagpur in JEE mains, you might not get the NIT Nagpur for CS branch with OBC category, however, you can get the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Birla Institute of Technology, Punjab University, National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, etc.

The total fee of B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering is INR 3.89 lacs. The first-year fee is INR 1.01 lacs. The second, third and fourth-year fees are the same INR 96 thousand.
