Likes

Lush green campus, huge and very beautiful
Has great sports facilities all sports are available and separate cpurts are made for each
There is a program called student mentor program where a student is given a mentor with whom problems can be shared

Dislikes

The mess food is not up to the mark, the quality and taste of food is not great
Not all faculties are good at teaching, some are really good whereas some are really good
The intime for students is 8pm which sometimes makes us leave events midway

There are mainly 4 events in the college they are Institute gathering Aarohi Axis Consortium Institute gathering is the inter department event for sports Creative and literary events Aarohi is the cultural fest of our college

Admission

I choose this college as i am from nagpur and this college is really good it was also recommended by a lot of teachers i knew The exam required to attain admission in this college is the joint entrance exam mains and the closing rank previous year was nearing 10000

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 60:1 Arnav Acharya is the faculty I dont like as i do not understand his teaching and none of the people in class do There are 2 exams mid sem and end sem namely generally they are not very difficult and scoring in mid sems makes scoring easy in final

Night Life

There is gym facility separately for girls and boys There is a cafe called frullato outside the college, there are many eateries outside college for students There are hangout spots around the campus as well where students can be commonly found

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. Nice curriculum in my cource in first year 6 subject are there which are maths chemistry physical engineering drawing and mining geology classes and approx length of each class is 55 min which is nice

My Experience at VNIT Nagpur

I had Applied to Vit pune and I am getting Ai and DS there but my dream was to get an NIT so I dropped my decision and can to VNIT. I did not get any rejection from there I just rejected that college over NIT. The addmission process to get in at VNIT Nagpur is very simple you just have to go through JEE mains Exam and have to secuse atleast 96 percentile if you are an general candidate.
