VNIT: Myths busted

Likes

The college has a very good culture when it comes to sports and other cultural events
The college also has a very big swimming pool
The hostel area and overall rooms are well maintained

Dislikes

The mess food is barely edible and sometimes very bad
The distance between hostel and sports complex is very large
The curriculum is extremely outdated and needs to be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is extremely outdated and almost has no relation and usefulness with todays world. We are made to write experiments instead of actually performing and mastering them which sucks. The teachers are helpful though

Likes

Connectivity of college is very nice near the college you have metro.
Campus is very nice having all necessary things .
Nature of Nagpur is hot but due to greenery in college campus is little bit cold.

Dislikes

Distance between boys hostel and girls hostel is so far
Boys and girls ratio is not so good as Baya are more in number of girl.
Hostel bathroom is not clear well it is cleaned once in a week

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placement. In my college companies have eligibility criteria of 7.5 cgpa with no ff grade . In campus TCS ,ITC, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO and etc .come for giving placement opportunities to studentes highest package was 43 lakh per annum and average is 13 lakh per annum

The best college ever

Likes

I like the college campus because it is really green and also it is a very large campus I also like a the sports facilities also professors here are really great.
The infrastructure of the college is really good and also the labs and departments has very good machines and has a good outreach
The curriculum of the college is really good as they teach topics relevantly and to the point

Dislikes

The hostel food is not really good the quality of food they provie has been degrading since days
The college is not really good at taking up events as the director does not give permission for events easily.
The distance between boys and girls hostel is too far so it is hard to maintain a male female frndship

The curriculum we have is all like similar to all IIT's in sem 1 we had Maths 1,EE,CP,CHEM and in this sem we have EM MATHS 2 PHY ED Frequency and timings of exam is perfect as they finish up in 2 exams midsem and endsem. The area of improvement would be the way of teaching and a bit of curriculum because the college still follow a traditional way

my college has a very good campus and have a lot of trees in it
my college arrage many functions like DG ,IG ,AROHI and so on also there are lot of sport facilities are there
my college provide good knowlede and also has a very good placement

Dislikes

there is a time bound that is 9 pm for b tech 1st year student before 9 pm we have to report at the hostel
there is no ac is provided in the class room
in chemical engineering girl ratio: boys ratio is 1:3

Placement Experience:

there is a very good placement of our college here in chemical engineering aroun 10to 12 lpa is the average package also there is and cse has average package of 20 lpa and there are lot of placement offered by college like in cse of our college 80% student get placed this year

The mess food it taste like a mother's hand food
The library the versatility of the book which is helpfull for us
The campus is also good .neat & clean ..

Dislikes

The washroom and unhygienic.not clean as I am expecting
The variety of sports is not included in hostel
There are not as much shop in our campus

I liked sports facilities given here i.e. good badminton court, good basketball court , olympics size swimming pool, good cricket and football ground .
Also their is many clubs of different types. Student can choose anyone of them depend on their interest
I also like culture of college as their are many people who come from different states

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good . Sometimes insect also found in food
Sport complex is very far from boys hostels
Girls to boys ration is also very badminton

Placement of our college is descent before corono but it affects a lot after corona period. But now also 80 percentage people of all branches people get placed but some branches like civil may suffer of percentage placement of 50 percentage

The things i liked is professors and college campus
The co-ordination of teaching assistants with students in lab.
The non teaching staff is very much helpful, they helps us out in any situation

Dislikes

There is not the things i disliked but sometimes college timeTable is so much hectic
Sometimes teacher takes extra classes thats the thing i disliked
Sometimes food of mess is not good but thats fine

The special thing about my course is it has very good labs equipment and ranking is very good of college,sometimes teachers gets angry on us but thats fine . The frequency of timings of exam is best and level is difficult

Campus of the college is very nice and lush green
There is lot of sport facilities at college
Classrooms are very advanced and have projectors in each class

Dislikes

75 percentage of attendence is compulsory
Some teachers are not good and we just go for attendence
Girl to boy ratio is not good and there are less girls

LIFE OF COLLEGE

Likes

Have a mentorship program for freshers, which help new students to understand the college and to make good bond with seniors
College have good infrastructure and have many different facilities
Faculties are good and expert in teaching

Dislikes

The girls boys ratio is very low . College should try to increase girl boy ratio
There are many restrictions in college and hostel . Some restriction should be removed
Too many assignment are there , there is assignment submission thrice a week

Placement Experience:

Placement in our college are good . They offer very good placement opportunities. From 8 th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit in our college for placements . College also provide internship programme from 5th semester

Likes

Labs are well maintained and lab assistants are very good in nature
Hostel rooms are adequately sized for 2 triple seater is kind of not spacious is
The sports facilities are excellent with dedicated courts for all purposes and all sports

Dislikes

Hostel Food is very disgusting there are two messes of which ones food is good the other is very bad
Teachers are not good in terms of teaching they do have an ocean of knowledge but they don't know teaching
Hostel urinals are not maintained in proper condition

The course curriculum is designed well but it is slightly outdated such as engineering drawing where all colleges have shifted to auto cad and similar courses where as we are doing it using scale drafters and old methods hence that is the only drawback
