VNIT- The paradise as well as hell

The course cirriculum in our college is average according to me. They are foolowing NEP an allowing final year students to do 6 monts internship if they complete 170 credits within 3rd year or 7th semester which is a really great initiative. Students can also complete their Final year project and 2 minor project within 3rd year.The labs provided by VNIT in MME department are also great for research . The frequency of exams are 4 per year 2 midsems and 2 endsem which is quite normal.

Internships opportunities are above average in all the branches . In CSE students got internships in companies like google atlassain and accenture. even in MME department few students got placed in accenture with stipend of 50000

VNIT is one of top 10 NITs in India. If compared to other NITS its placement is really below average. The average of cse is 11 lpa only which is too less. Also placement season is ongoing now but till now only 355/ of around 1000 studebts are placed. One become eligible from 6th semester to sit in campus placements

Per semester fees is 133000 as tuition fee. for SC ST and PWD students there is 100% fee waiver and hence no tuition fee but they have to pay the hostel fees if and only if they are opting for it.For general obc or ews students with parental income less than 500000 , they get 67% fee waiver. But at the start of the each semester they have to pay the entire fees and at the end they get refund of 67% fees. hostel fees is 64500 per year for everyone. But everyone can get an educational loan from SBI VNIT branch ver easily so there should be no financial issues.

The club culture of vnit is really great . There are various clubs like IVY labs, Tesla, ecell, hallabol, Compering, Bollywood club, 911 club(Hip hop club) . The cultural fest of VNIT is central India's largest fest and is known as Aarohi and technical fest is known as Axis

In first year and second year we get double seater rooms and from thirs year onwards we get single seater rooms . the washrooms are pretty clean but sometimes its not. meal quality is average in girls hostel. one has to register for hostel while coming for reortind during the start of admission process

One need to clear jee mains to get admission in VNIT. Admission is done through jossaa counselling . I choose this college over other colleges because of its sports facilities as I am into sports . I couldn't clear jee advance hence i didn't get admission over there . I applied to colleges like SPIT and COEP through CET counselling and got extc in spit but i choose VNIT over it as it an NIT

Every class is divided into 4 groups of 30 students and each group gets provided with one faculty advisor in first year and faculty mentor from second year onwards.Few of the beat faculties are nallapu sir in maths like he taught really well and is one of the most famous faculty in entire college. Also there is faculty named Sunil mutha in elctrical department and he,s supposed to teach basic EE in first year but he's just so dramatic and get irritated in every small things but atleast he teaches well. In first year we have 5 credit course and difficulty of them is pretty average

No there's no such criteria for admission All you need to do is get above 95%ile as a general candidate student in jee mains to get admission in VNIT Nagpur. If reservation are there for you then it's even more easier

There is no night life in vnit after 10:30 pm as there is hostel in time and also for boys there is campus intiming of 10:30 pm . There is only one canteen common for both girls and boys which is open only till 7 pm and also it is closed on sunday but one can go and sit there as it is in open area. Apart from these there are night canteens in both girls and boys hostel
