Course Curriculum Overview

3

not very relevant atleast in first year, many subjects like engineering drawing, engineering mechanics, chemistry, were taught in first year computer science, second years onwards the core professors and subjects are good and relevant, there are two exams per sem, mid and end

Internships Opportunities

4

students can apply to on campus internships from the end of the 4th sem, with the college even providing sem long internships as well (if credit requirement is complete) many people in college have interned in companies like oracle, google, accenture, morgan stanley etc

Placement Experience

4

placement is good with companies like google, oracle, jp morgan, morgan stanley visiting campus, most students get placed highest package offered is 64lpa to computer science and electronic and communications student....students can start getting pre placement offer right from 7th sem

Campus Life

3

cultural fest for the college is aarohi, which is held in november technical fest for college is axis, which is held in march there are lots and lots of clubs for almost anything you can think of, the sports facilities are very good with sports competitions being held all around the year classrooms are a bit old fashioned

Admission

didnt qualify for other colleges based on my jee rank, took computer science for job security the college admission happens through jee mains exam, for computer science course, the cutoff for general other state is around 5500, and home state cutoff is around 7000

Faculty

3

some faculties are good, some are strict...attendance wise some faculties can be lenient allowing you to have below par attendance, some are strict and can fail you because of attendance, exams are okay marking is done relative to other students, only max 10 students fail to clear a course

Interview Experience

4

the admission process was through the jee mains exam, its a objective exam and admission to VNIT requires the candidate to score atleast 95-96% percentile as a general category student, interested students must study physics chem and maths for jee mains

Night Life

4

for first year, the hostel in time is 8pm for girls, the hostel in time is 9pm the campus is very safe to roam at night with a night canteen to satisfy your late cravings, the gym is available for 1st and 2nd year in morning and for 3rd and 4th year in evening

Placement Experience:

The placement situation at my college is really good. It is getting better all the time. At my college students can start getting ready for internships and placement training from the semester. Then most of the full-time job opportunities start coming up in the semester. A lot of students at my college get something called Pre-Placement Offers or PPOs for short through internships before the actual placement season starts at my college. My college students get these PPOs. It is a big help to them. Placement, at my college is a deal and my college students take it very seriously. A lot of known companies come to the campus every year. The main companies that hire people from the campus are NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays, PhonePe, Microsoft, BMC Software and Citi Bank. Some companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Capgemini hire a lot of people from the campus. These companies, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays, PhonePe, Microsoft, BMC Software and Citi Bank are really good at finding the people for the job. Companies, like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Capgemini also give jobs to students. The Placement Highlights for the year 2024 to 2025 are looking good far. We have had some results. The highest package offered to a student is 45 LPA. The median salary is 9.5 LPA. This is a sign because it means that most students are getting a decent salary. 86.3 Percent of students have been placed so far. The average package is different for each company and role. For example a software developer will get a package than an analyst or a data engineer. Students who get the paying roles usually have strong coding skills. They also have projects to show and they do well in their technical interviews and in Data Structure and Algorithms which we call DSA for short. Placement Highlights for the year 2024 to 2025 show that these skills are very important, for students. The college does not promise that every student will get a placement. It really depends on the student. Students who ta

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, L&T, and a few startups visit the campus every year for technical and support roles. The average package is around 3–4 LPA, while the highest package for top performers goes up to around 8–10 LPA (varies by year and company). Around 60–70% of students get placed through campus drives, and others go for off-campus opportunities. The placement cell provides basic training and aptitude preparation, but students need to work on DSA, projects, and skills on their own. After completing my degree, I plan to either secure a good software role or pursue higher studies while continuing to upskill through internships and certifications

The students can apply for placements from the 6th semester, but they have to complete the whole 8 semester to start working. Companies like L&T, HCC, J Kumar, TATA Projects are our major recruiters, many MNCs and other top company like to hire from NICMAR. The college has genuine 100% placement, the students who generally do not get placed are ones who have family business or startups. After completing the degree and mostly interested in a job for the 1 to 2 years to gain some experience. Then I may consider options like higher studies or a business.
