Personally, i chose economics and now they are teaching me chemistry and physics lab. So teaching irrelevent things for my branch is what i dislike.

Fees and Financial Aid:

I joined IIT Bombay this academic year on the 25th of July; the tuition fee for a semester for non-SC-ST students is 1 lakh per semester. Hostels + mess fees cost 40 thousand per semester. There are many scholarship opportunities for people who have difficulty paying the fees, especially female students

for general students the tution fees is manditory for the frist year students or for one year they have to pay 119750 for cources like betch and the whole btech will end up in 950000 and expection for the st and sc catogary students because for then the tution fees is free as they come from poor back ground or may be or may not be there is no tution fees for st students

There are scholarships for SC/ST students and those with a family income of less than 5 lakhs, which includes a complete waiver on tuition fees. Also, scholarships are provided on merit cum income-based criteria. Scholarships are also provided for purchasing laptops and financing hostel and mess charges.

Fees without scholarship is high but scholarship is easy to get and amount of scholarship depends on which slab your family income falls into. I generally pay around 70000/year which includes both tuition and hostel fees thanks to the mcm scholarship.

One of the best Technical Institute in India

Total fees for four years are around 12 lakhs. Students who belong to SC/ST are exempted from academic fees and also whose parental income is less than 1 lakh are also exempted from tuition fees which are around 1 lakh per semester. Many scholarships are offered here which includes various central government and private scholarships of which information is provided from time to time

There is an MCM scholarship which is for a tuition fee waiver. The student with an annual income less than 5 lac are eligible to apply for this scholarship And according to there performance in college and the annual income they are awarded a scholarship

MCM ( merit cum scholarship). For freshers, imagery is the basis of family income and their jee rank but in later years it is for family income and CPI. Loan facilities are also provided by the bank with very low interest.
