Course Curriculum Overview

Exam schedule is given way before the exams so there is no confusion and difficulty is moderate and will require 1 day efforts. Also the overall course difficulty is lower compared to branches like mechanical, electrical etc

There are a lot of internship opportunities through the pt cell. Almost 80% of the companies which come in placements come for the internship season. Although, a person's chance of getting internship through campus is lower when compared to placement season. But this is Mumbai and you are part of IIT Bombay so you can get internships easily externally.

Placement Experience

It's IIT Bombay so placements are good enough. A lot of companies visit here giving various positions. In the first semester of final year placements happen and it is also easy to get job outside also. Most of the package fall between 9 to 16 lakhs. Mean package of 2024 batch is around 16 lakhs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Fees without scholarship is high but scholarship is easy to get and amount of scholarship depends on which slab your family income falls into. I generally pay around 70000/year which includes both tuition and hostel fees thanks to the mcm scholarship.

Campus Life

Life at campus is chill and various bigger fest happen during December and January like Mood Indigo, TechFest, E summit etc. Facilities are top class and everything you may want is readily available nearby. There are various clubs so you can explore your interests and also compete with people with similar interests in various activities. Almost every club is student run and so lot of positions of responsibility are available. Sports facilities are also high standard and is updated now due to the recent inter iit conducted here. All kinds of sports are played and the quality of players is also high. If you are new to the sport so don't worry there are lot of casual players and lot of sports intro sessions are conducted. Although there are some cons like you have to change hostels 3 times in 4 years and second and third year hostels are not that good compared to the first and final year hostels but still they all while be memorable. Classes, libraries, reading halls,are also top class.

Hostel Facilities

First and final year hostels are top class but the second and third year hostels are not good enough according to the space and facilities but every hostel will be memorable. You have to change hostels 3 times during the your span here. You get only essentials inside the room like fan, desk, almirah and a chair. Total cost of hostel including mess facilities is Rs 75000 per year which is very affordable. Quality of food in the mess is decent.

Admission

Admission process is through JEE Advanced rank so no need of improvement but maybe some branch introductory sessions before the selection process to help people decide a perfect branch according to their interests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like biology very much. So I chose biology major as per curriculum. Because of The faculty members are very nice. And their natures are very nice. It is also good that they teach very well. Interships are provided in many types of courses. A professor does not fail by one mark in college.

Placement Experience:

As there was placement in the year 2021 which is nearly 56 percent. Around 20 companies visited campus like TCS, AKASH, CIPLA etc. for placement. But most of student do not like placement becuase they have their plan about research so they do phd and post doc in their career which they think best according to their opinion. But in 2021 the avg. package was 8 lpa and each participant have 2 offer. Also the highest package is 13 lpa, which is very nice as compare. but the main reson is research that's why placement is not so higher.

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester. Everyday company that you can think of is there in IIT Bombay and there are some companies that only with IIT Bombay in India. The highest package goes around 4 crores and the average package is around 25 lakhs. One of the best Technical Institute in India

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario of IIT Bombay is very good. Around 100 per cent of students get placed in very good packages. Many students also get internships at the end of their 6th sem. The average package of IIT Bombay last year was 25 LPA.

There is only one way you can make your way to IITs in B.Tech program and that is through JEE. First, you have to give and clear JEE Mains and after that, you have to sit for JEE advanced and then after clearing it, you will get your college and branch according to your rank and preferences. Peaceful place in this chaotic world

I gave two exams, JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. You have to be among 1500 students overall in India to secure a seat at IIT Bombay. I was 533 in OBC so I got B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. JEE exams are after the 12th boards and forms come around August month. The admission process is governed by JOSAA. There is no "Maje hi maje" after cracking JEE the real life starts now
