boys and girls are 5:1 for this course in this college.
Campus life is good , nice campus and interactive social life.
good placements and very nice package offered by companies.

Dislikes

classroom distance from hostel is 1km appoximate.
sometime internet not work properly but recovered very fast.
Nothing more , everything is awesome here ,nice structure of campus.

Placement is good enough many companies visited in campus every year. companies like amdocs,deloitte,genpact ,visa google etc. visited here. highest package rubrik 1cr+ which is awesome i think as software enngineer.

Hostel Life good and mess food need to improve
good college life and Good cultural fest and events
Very good infrastructure of campus and class rooms as well

Dislikes

minor internet issue but fixed in very short time
Classroom distance from hostel approx 1km
There is not enough time to explore everything

Placement Experience:

5th semester students are eligible for placement. 3rd semester students eligible for internships. Companies like Google, visa , optum etc. visited here. Highest package 45lpa by Amazon. 85%students got placement approximately. After getting degree I interested to work in product based company.

Wifi Connectivity: Internet speed and availability on campus are inconsistent.
Gender Imbalance: The male to female ratio if highly skewed.
Outdated Equipments: Some labs lack modern equipments.

Placement Experience:

At NIT, Jamshedpur, MCA, MTech, and BTech programmes of a reversed placement opportunity. MCA placement: student become eligible for campus placement after completing their fourth semester and the highest salary package of 30 LPA with an average package of 10 for the MCA. Approximately 90% of the MCA student secured placement during 2024 session. BTech placement BTech student are eligible for campus placement after completing their six semester. The highest salary packagewas 82 LPA with an average package of 12.63 LPA approximately 93.76 of BBA student secure placement during the 2024 session.

NIT Jamshedpur students life

Likes

Academic Building is nice and well furnished.
Classrooms are well equipped and give a great vibe
Library has huge amount of books and it is a hub for students

Dislikes

Does not have parks and grounds for chilling out
Does not have an Auditorium and I do not like OATs
Some faculties are literally not as par as they should be

Course Curriculum Overview:

For me course are superb but I think there might be changes as there are new technologies and tools that are being used over the world but there are some of the things that are still being taught that are outdated now but no one is taking care of this. and this is not the mistake from the college side this is the problem of the country education system

Placement Experience:

If you are a Btech student then you are eligible for an internship from the V semester and placement from the VII semester and for MCA you are eligible for placement from the V semester. Companies like Amazon, Sarotech, Samsung, Amdocs, Genpact, and Deloitte visited the college every year. the highest package of NIT Jamshedpur is 80LPA and the lower is 6 LPA, more than 90% of students get placed every year. I am also preparing for my placement and am not interested in higher studies.

All faculty are good in the department of Computer Applications. All faculty are Ph.D. holders. I have no idea about the examination because I'm a first-year student. I chose this course because it provides big exposure, placement and overall development.

Placement Experience:

from 4 sem you are eligible for Placements whereas from 3rd one you are eligible for Intern. You got the opportunity and if you work hard then definitely you end up with great placement in some MNCs Product Based Companies. Amazon, Avalara, FlynFin, RollesRoyal, and many more. and the CTCs were between the range 7 to 29 approx. If you are talented you will surely get one. I plan to get an intern in the 3rd sem and try some big companies like GOOGLE, MS etc.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
