What Students Say

Likes

Academic Building is nice and well furnished.
Classrooms are well equipped and give a great vibe
Library has huge amount of books and it is a hub for students

Dislikes

Does not have parks and grounds for chilling out
Does not have an Auditorium and I do not like OATs
Some faculties are literally not as par as they should be

Course Curriculum Overview

For me course are superb but I think there might be changes as there are new technologies and tools that are being used over the world but there are some of the things that are still being taught that are outdated now but no one is taking care of this. and this is not the mistake from the college side this is the problem of the country education system

Class Size: 116Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is paid per semester. Fees for General/OBC: 47500 per sem Fees for SC/ST: 12500 per sem like tution fee is 0 and other charges are levied only. scholarships are not provided to MCA students and if provided for btech I do not know. for mtech they provide 12000 stipend and for phd around 35000 is provided per month.

Campus Life

Three fests are done here namely Ojass: tech fest, Culfest: cultural fest, Urja: sports fest. and each department has its own fest. You can get each and every journals available in the library and mostly are available.

Admission

To be honest, I got here via qualifying entrance exam and they got admitted here but if I have higher rank than I definitely choose Allahabad or Bhopal. There is no problem at all as a student here but there is still a fight about getting the credit between the departments and this upsets me

Faculty

Mostly Faculties are Great with their knowledge and their teaching style. They are fabulous in terms of explaining concepts but some of them are not good enough. Sometimes I think are they really capable of being a faculty here in the NITs.

Night Life

Gym is of very less size. opened recently. cafeteria was opened recently, night canteens have been closed and after 9 pmgirls are not allowed to exit the hostel same for the boys after 11 pm. Nothing is famous inside the campus but lots of places are famous in jamshedpur you can visit

Placement Experience:

In our college placement companues was visited definitely but they had not provided at highest packages to anyone. from the 5th semester they started their process and upto last semester they select some candidates and some did not. Average packages in our college its around 1.5 LPA to 2.5 LPA and the providing companies are like :- zomato, swiggy, wipro, Tech Mahindra etc.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell was also made in our college and after semester 5th recruitment agencies are approaching to campus for campus placement of the students but not in high number of placement companies are available for highring. Zomato, Swiggy, Ekart, Techmahindra etc types of companies are hire students for their companies. And they gives not much high packages i.e. 2.4 to 2.6 LPA to overall students. Percentage of students hired was less After graduation degree my vision was to proceed for higher degree for good future.

An government college which is budget friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I have some vision for carrying this out. Also, I have done BCA before this and the skills are not upto the mark, and my previous good college has not provided any campus selection boot. The current faculty are well educated and experienced. You will feel familiar with them. But some are strict too. Well, that's what a familar looks like. Exam difficulty is determined by the course/syllabus and the amount of preparation you put in. The bad thing is that sometimes the examination gets postponed for some reason, and that is not good for students.

Remarks:

the campus is huge with lush greenery which has its own charm but is in the outskirts of the city which has its own pros and cons. it is a quiet place with some mesmerizing scenes but being in the outskirts one has to travel some distance for many chores.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
