Placements at our college is just wow. 15.17 Lpa avg ctc. approximately 99 % students placed in all the branches. for cse avg ctc : 27lpa median ctc 16.5 lpa for ece avg ctc 22 lpa. median ctc 18lpa and in the core branches the avg ctc is about 10-12 lpa

All you Know about NIT JAMSHEDPUR before joining it....

Likes

Hostel life is very good in this college and there is lots of fun with friends.
It's placement is very good and surprising.
The senior 's and faculties are very supportive.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good,as you expect from a NIT..
College doesn't have complete boundary and also most of the land is unused. most of the land is unused
Gym is not available in the college campus.

Placement Experience:

4th year students are eligible for placements and nearly 200 companies visit our campus erespective of the rank of the NIT Jamshedpur it gives a very good placement comparing to other nites or even some iits in last two three years and it Jamshedpur is improved according to placements.

Fourth year student are eligible for placement.Very good number of company visit for placement.like in last year around 200+ company visited for on campus placement and average placement was around 15 lakh with a placement percentage of 96% From electrical branch their was 100% placement with average package of 1700000. Highest package was 82 lakhs

Hoatel life is very good in this college and there is lotes of fun with friends.
There is very good coding culture lots of students how get lower branch but get placed in coding company
Its placement is very attractive and it is genuine this college provides better placement than lower iit

Dislikes

This college should build and improve thare infrastructure and utilizes there lands
For basic facilities you have to out side the college. Like fruit and some basic things

Best thing of this college is his campus placement. Many students placed at 5th or 6th sem after internship by ppo letter. 98%+ placement records have this college. And many companies visit this college like Accenture, zomato, tata steel, tata motors, l&t, reliance, grow , etc. Highest package of this college 84lakh per annum this placement get 6 students. This company is Australian company which is atlantia. And average package is 15.98lakh per annum. 98%+ student get placed in this college. I will go to psu or private job but my main aim will be to into pau.

I like the opportunities provided by college in sports field.
The clubs are also very attentive and contain the will to grow.
I also like the way seniors and professors support juniors in almost every field.

Dislikes

I dislike the dusty climate all over the hostel side.
There is a bit less garden type area, for wandering.
There is not a single closed auditorium in NIT jsr.

Placement Experience:

The placement of NIT jsr is one of the best among all other NITs. The average pakage offered in our campus is 10 lpa and the highest of the last year is approx 80 lpa. Almost 100 percent students get placed in any company of mechanical branch. My path will be the same as other, that is, to take a good placement after completing the degree.

Very cooperative senior will ragging free campus
Sports facilities of college are awesome.
Placement is very good as compare to other NIT's.

Dislikes

Poor infrastructure around 200 acres of campus is forest
Open campus due to which outside people also come in college
Net connection there is poor net connection in full campus

I mostly like the clubs of this college...they are just awesome...AND DEFINITELY i am from civil so I came here looking the placements which is quite good..
BEST COMPANIES VISITS HERe..hostel facilities are good enough..
Professors are but cruel but between them there are some who keeps pushing you towards your goal.

Dislikes

I think campus can be a issue for tgose who wanna enjoy a beautiful campus life..its big but not organized
It is open campus which is its biggest issue.. anyone enters anytime and no record can be maintained...
I cant say i disliked my college but upper two reasons can be a issue for some students..

Students are eligible for the internships in 3rd year and for placements in 4th year... More than 150 companies visited last year and the highest package was 83Lac CTC and the number of students getting the highest package was 4. This year 6 same 83 lac CTC.. >95% STUDENTS PLACED FROM ALL BRANCHES AND LIKE FOR CSE AND ECE ITS NEARLY 100.. MY PLANS is to get into non core and become software engineer.. I also have set a minimum annual salary and i will grab it for sure..

Detailed and Honest review of NIT Jamshedpur.

Likes

The hostels here are really awesome, Imagine a single room just in the second year.
The lecture hall has centrelised AC and is really fantastic.
The placements here are really astounishing.

Dislikes

The labs are poorly built and maintained.
Some of the faculty members are sluggish and not too energetic.
The institute has a very strict 75 percent attendence rule and its very pressurising.

Placement Experience:

The placement in the college is astonishing. last year almost everyone got placed and with big names too. The biggest company that visits here is Atlassisan, other companies include Amazon, intel, tata, and various other MNCs. The highest package right now is 83 lakhs given by Atlassian.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

Extracurricular Activities:

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
