Which is the best CSE at IIIT Ranchi or civil at NIT Jamshedpur?

One of my cousins was in a similar dilemma when she got selected for both Civil at NIT Jamshedpur and CSE at IIIT Ranchi. S he decided to go for NIT Jamshedpur as she had no interest in the IT sector at all. S he wanted a core branch and NIT Jamshedpur seemed to be her best choice. The total fees of btech is 215000 rupees per year and it includes these Tution fees which is 125000 per year the institute fees which is 24000 rupees per year hostel fees is 30000 rupees per year and the mess charges are 36000 rupees per year And For SC/ST students the tuition fees is zero.

The total fees yearly is 2,10,000 which includes Tution fees, Hostel fees - 30k, Mess fees- 36k. If your family income is less than 1lpa then you will get 100% tuition fees remission and if it's less than 5lpa then you will get 66% fee waiver. If you are from Jharkhand then you will get E- Kalyan scholarship which provides 75k scholarship per year.

Total Fees for 1 year btech is 2,15,000 as follows: Tuition fees-125000 Institute Fees-24000 Hostel Fees-30000 Mess fees-36000 Also there is full fee remission for students having family income less than 1Lakh and 2/3rd fee remission for students having family income between 1lakh to 5 lakhs. Sc/st students have full tuition fee wavier irrespective of their family income .They have to pay their only hostel and mess fee only. Here students can apply for many scholarship like e-kalyan(jharkhand students only),Nsp , FFE etc. Also you have to pay 10000 as caution money when you came to college but this money will be return to your account when you will get out of college after 4 year.

A college with tremendous placement

Tuition fee is around 125000 per year. Hostel fees is about 30000 per year. Mess fees about 34000 per year. And there are some other fees too. Including all the fees it is about 220000 per year. The students who have family income less than 1 lakh gets two-third fee remission on tuition fees. And students with family income between 1 to 5 lakh gets one-third fee remission on tuition fees.

The fee is the same for 4 years that was in the first year. The complete cost of all the fees of a four-year duration course is 840000. Many scholarships are available here and for Jharkhand students, there is e-kalyan if your income is below 2.5 lakh, you can avail of this.
