Likes
- Sports and all the facilities given by the college to expel our talents in various areas
- There are many clubs and tech clubs in the college which can polish your skills
- Obviously the fests north east India’s biggest tech frat is on our name.
Dislikes
- 60% of people just are on a rat race at different pace
- Proffesors and the attendance rules are strict better opt for a higher IIT.
- The girls here are dumbest in all aspects.

The placements in our college are plenty. A number of 70-80 companies visit our campus for placements and internships which gives you best oppurtunities no need of a rush just work . Highest package ranges over 3cr , median package of 11lpa,average package of 9-10lpa I'm not sure but accurate data

- It is a lush-green campus, with heritage having the most beautiful garden filled with varieties of flowers and plants.
- There are vending machines at every major building like every Hostel, Library, i2H and iRH buildings etc. so you can grab anything quick to eat or drink.
- The campus has mini electric rickshaws that charge only 8 rupees and can get you anywhere in the campus under that cost (saves a lot of money and time).
Dislikes
- The mess food is the worst thing in this college, the mess caterers are just not ready to listen to demands of students and would keep serving the same shitty food.
- The college's fests aren't anywhere close to that of top 7-8 IITs or even top NITs and lacks behind in infrastructure for big events during any fest.
- The classrooms look pretty old and have the old-school classroom look to it.

Placement Experience:
At our campus, internship opportunities begin in the 5th semester for third-year students and in the 7th semester for integrated course students (fourth year). There is a bag full of companies that offer internship during intern season, but some of the famous ones are Google, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Samsung Research, Walmart, CISCO etc.
For full-time placements, companies start recruiting in the final year, typically during the 7th semester, while for integrated course students, it happens in the 9th semester.
A diverse range of companies visit our campus for placements, including Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Zepto, Goldman Sachs, PhonePe, Paytm, Meesho, and many more. The offered salary packages generally range from ?6 LPA to ?30 LPA, with the lowest package around ?7-8 LPA and the highest reaching ?80 LPA.
On average, around 68% of students secure placements through on-campus recruitment, while the remaining students found opportunities through off-campus placements.

- There are many cultural clubs. Seniors encourage us more to participate in all the clubs whether they are cultural or technical or sports.
- Here all the fests are celebrating very well.
Dislikes
- If you are a south Indian then you can't eat the food here.
- There are many dogs in the campus, they even enter your hostel.
- Expected better infrastructure but not reached expectations.
Placement Experience:
Few get it from 3rd year and others from 4rth year. A total of 254 companies offered jobs some were Tata, newzera tech labs pvt. Ltd etc. 1054 job offers were made last year and 11 international job offers too. About 70% of btech students are getting placed. After getting a degree I will be doing a job.

Placement Experience:
Placements and internships opportunities are plenty, both in core engineering and in other non engineering (finance, consulting, banking, etc).
I choose to go for placement in core engineering and got placed during the placement season. My department saw around 70% placement with several top chemical companies visiting and offering students competitive salaries and benefits. Internship opportunities are open for third year students and job opportunity for final year students

- The college has a very large and lush green campus. Some hostels are very big and college also has an innovation centre for startups to grow. The campus life is decent, there are plenty of spots for snacking.
- The support provided for career advancements is also pretty good. The infrastructure is good top notch the classes have smart boards and the labs are also well maintained.
- The college has a pretty huge strength so there are alot of people to interact with. The professors are highly qualified with pdhs from top colleges and are always ready to help. The placement services are also pretty good for almost all branches.
Dislikes
- The college has a little ragging problem which really needs to be improved. The hostel mess is really bad and certain hostels really need improvement.
Placement Experience:
Students start getting campus placements from the 7th semester but students can also get pre placement offers during internships that they can get from 6th semester. Microsoft, Google, Uber, Cognizant, Media.net, Ola, Pizza Hut such companies visited and total number of 628 offers were made. The highest package in the college was of 2cr, the average was 19 lpa. Profiles like SWE, SDE, JDE, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Product Manager were offered. Around 70% students got placed. My personal plans after getting a degree is to go for placements.

- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has a lush green campus. That's why atmosphere inside campus is very good.
- Arguably , it has Asia's 2nd largest library. Also, collection of books are very good.
- Faculties and teacher assistants are helpful. If you are eager to learn you can fetch knowledge from them.
Dislikes
- Curriculum is what I don't like here. Markings in some subjects are also not good and professors are very reluctant.
- Manufacturing process subject has its written exam which i think is of no use as it is a practical subject.
- Entrepreneurship culture is not so good as compared to other IIT's.
Placement Experience:
College of placements are decent. Final year students are eligible for on campus placements although we can apply for job off campus irrespective of year. Highest on campus package remains around 50 lpa and avg. package is around 15 lpa . Most of the big MNC's visit out college and offers good placements. Almost all students who apply for placements gets placed till the end of course. My plans are off campus high package placements.

There is a very good campus placement in college. on day 1 of campus placement, students get 211 offers from 30 companies. Tata give the maximum offers to 40 students 180 students get the pre-placement offers

Placement Experience:
The placement is very good here. Almost 150 companies come every year and provide huge chances.
Students are eligible for placement after the 7th semester and the person with the pre-placement offer can complete the course by 7 semesters only and can leave if he wishes.
Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Schlumberger come and pay for good packages.
Almost 80-90? students get placed and many opt for higher studies.
My plan is to work with experienced people in any of the industries in which I am getting selected.

Every year the number of companies and the number of students placed are getting higher.

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.
IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs. The students with JEE ranking between 2000-7000 are eligible for Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhubaneswar. Thus, IIT Dhanbad will be a better option to study ECE than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar because, Being one of the oldest established IITs, IIT Dhanbad is known for its quality of education and their campus life. It also has better and more experienced faculty members.
