- peer group , we find people of similar mindset so that we can combine and grow together
- fest , we participate in first 2 years , in next 2 years we organize fest so we get skills required for organization and leadership skills etc
- college elections , which give good clarity how political system works in world and we develop leadership skills
Dislikes
- no AC in class rooms , lack of infrastructure due to very old campus
- lack of fund from allumnis , may iits get good fund but not us
- too hot in summers and too sold in winters , heaters are not allowed in winters
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose CSE because of my interest in coding, etc..., but here the main development goes on mining-related branches.
The 2023 curriculum is very old-fashioned in that old topics are there but for 2024 batch curiculam changed and they are having latest topics

- Campus is very vibrant .There are many grounds ,gardens ,tress and buildings all around making it a rich experience
- Mining engineering Professors are very chill and we can ask them any questions regarding the subject at any time in the class.
- Senior junior interaction is little weird as you hv to call your seniors sir and ma'am ,but that's all right and seniors always try to help their juniors the most .
Dislikes
- There is culture of intro for juniors which they give to seniors in proper attire .
- Lesser facilities for sports compared to other iits.
- Restriction on hostel timings is a big issue
Placement Experience:
After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . There are fewer internship opportunities in my branch . Placement percentage is around 70 percent incampus ,rest go for higher studies and off campus placement

- I like the the facilities provide for support our education.
- I am like our college infrastructure like heritage building and penman auditorium
- I like the sports facilities in my college
Dislikes
- Some of the Courses which includes drawning.
- Refund system of college for each event.
- Exam schedule are also very uneven and less gap between exams

Placements of our college are good and almost 80%.
Other students are go for higher studies and some students go for research field
So almost 90 to95 % students are well settled
My plan after getting degree is to join the PSUs.

- Cleanliness and the opportunity here with the help of various clubs
- Sports being encouraged and regular tournament
- No restriction on talking to opposite gender ,boys girls ratio being 3:1
Dislikes
- There are no vehicles allowed for students
- No proper guide for placement,we have to figure out with the help of senior
- Mess food not being good and easy access to alcohol and cigarette

In my course,average package is around 29 LPA
My course being of 5 years,I will be eligible for placement in 9 th semester which PPO is the other option during internship.Lot of company come for placement like Google, microsoft,etc.

- college campus is quite big and there is lot of greenery in the campus that I liked the most but there is lft out area which can be utilized to their best extent
- social interactions between seniors and junior is quite good as seniors are always ready to help their juniors.
- campus infrastructure is quite good and resembles of old fashioned design.
Dislikes
- Some faculties can be changed or they should change their ways of teaching.
- the girls to boys ratio is quite less almost for four boys there is one boy.
- No of cafes and restaurants can be increased in the campus and there is a lot of restrictions for entry in the campus for boys and girls especially for the girls that can be reduced to some extent.
Placement Experience:
from 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.
companies like google,microsoft,bny mellon,texas instruments ,vedanta ,ongc, cil.
the highest package is 90 lakhs and it was offerd for amazon as a machine learning engineer.
almost 80 percent is the placement rate.
my plan is to prepare for the government exams after getting placed in the college.

- The cleaniness of campus and the proper greenery leading to peace
- Seniors are very much helpful and the bond between senior and junior is very pure
- the new hostels are very comfortable and good
Dislikes
- very less restriction of irrelugar vehicles are there
- library is not 24 hours open .......the timing should be increase
- campus in time is also 10 which i dont like
Course Curriculum Overview:
the curriculum is not that much satisfiying but what can we do ...we have to follow the curriculum ....in iits we get to know about several life hacks and life realities ....they make sure after fighting iit life you can conquer anything ....the papers are continously there are no long break between mid sem or end sems

- Personally i like the campus of mine college. The greenery and the buildings. The infrastructure of pur college. Since IIT ISM DHANBAD has legacy in education and moreover. 100th century of our college will be in 2026. The legacy of 100 years.
- The faculty of our college are highly qualified and they know how to teach complex things in easier way
- So in our college in one semester we have 2 exams mid semester and end semester exams also quizzes and practicals labs
Dislikes
- I personally disliked the attendance policy of our college.(75%)
- Some professors are very strict. We can not come late in their class.
- The exams are relatively tougher. One need to study from the starting of semester.
Placement Experience:
So students after 7th semester becomes eligible for applying for on campus as well as off campus placements in our college. Almost every software as well as core companies come to our college for e.g. google ,amazon, samsung, texas instruments, goldman sachs, axella etc.Almost 80% gets placed on campus. I want to go software side.

- Department facilties along with the teaching quality of professors.
- Hostel facilities along with excellent peer group.
Dislikes
- Old buildings which i personally not like as much.
- Many number of departments degrading the quality and average package.
- Restriction on timing for going out of hostel or campus.

Placement Experience:
Campus placement is very good even companies from foreign and all around the world select our college to provide placement to students having good skills and cgpa along with communication skills. In our department around 85-90% get placed on campus with average package of around 24 lakh per annum. Highest package is around 60 lakh for our department. From 7th semester students are eligible to sit in placements. My plan is to get on campus placement.

- Heritage building of the college and its national importance
- The greneery of the college and hostel of the college.
- The library ofy college is asias largest technical library.
Dislikes
- Poor teaching of professor and their behaviour towards student.
- The academic facilities are not good as other college.
- They have poor girls to boys ratio in the college.
Placement Experience:
For campus placement student get eligible frim 4th year and can apply offline in 3rd year. In our college more than 500 company comes and make offer to atleast 700 students. The highest package is 59 lakhs and average package is 20 lakhs. I have to do higher studies after my college.

- First of all i want to tell you about the faculty members they are chill mostly some have very good knowledge and express their knowledge with great understanding.
- The girls and boys ratio is about 1:3 , many of them have their boyfriends.
- I have liked the heritage bulding and it is the pride of ism the garden in front of it is also good.
Dislikes
- Most of the girls are not too good on comparison to other college.
- The culture is not too good specially in fest most of them just want to drink.
- All the things are most over average the classroom hostle garden .
Placement Experience:
Placement season is not too good and too bad too. As ot is an iit the preference are given to all of us among others but as you know some low opportunity with respect to higher oits. The two core nranches mining and petro have great Placement season
