CAMPUS IS WELL EQUIPPED WITH MODERN AMENTITIES
IIT DHANBAD OFFERS ADIVERSE RANGE OF PROGRAM
ON TIME TO TIME THERE ARE MANY COMPETITIONS AS WELL AS EVENTS FOR ENJOYMENT.

Dislikes

THE CLIMATE OF DHANBAD CAN BE QUITE CHALLENGING
WHILE IIT DHANDAB IS PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUE BUT ITB IS LOCATED IN SMALL CITY
THE COURSE IS LITTLE BIT HARD BECAUSE BECAUSE THERE IS COMPETITION IN STUDENTS

THE COURSE CORICULLUM IS VERY UP TO DATE . THE COURSE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT IT IS HE;PFUL FOR BOYH PLACEMENT AS WEL AS HIGHER STUDUES OR PHD. BUT OUR COURSE IS MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTING SO MOST PEOPLE PREFERE FOR PLACEMENT .

Likes

The thing that I liked here is the library.
Well experienced coaches in sports for training
Encouraging students to participate in several curricular activities.

Dislikes

I disliked the temperature and whether changes here

Placement Experience:

Several companies like Flipkart..and several new and MNC's visit here the percentage for BTech students is almost around 85.the highest package is of 65lpa.My plans are to do an internship and before getting degree I wish get placed in some good company with good package.

Journey in my college

Likes

In IIT there is lot of freedom college culture is very different from schools
The teaching faculty is very good there are many clubs for different divisions
College placements are very good over the years

Dislikes

Our college is one the oldest college so need to improve infrastructure
Boys to girls ratio is less and there is no branch change in our college
Hostel are very old and small for the first year students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I took this course is I am interested about electrons and semi conducter industry .there are lab practicals to experience real world applications .need an update to the syllabus this are old topics.exans are moderate to tough .

Likes

Sports and all the facilities given by the college to expel our talents in various areas
There are many clubs and tech clubs in the college which can polish your skills
Obviously the fests north east India’s biggest tech frat is on our name.

Dislikes

60% of people just are on a rat race at different pace
Proffesors and the attendance rules are strict better opt for a higher IIT.
The girls here are dumbest in all aspects.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are plenty. A number of 70-80 companies visit our campus for placements and internships which gives you best oppurtunities no need of a rush just work . Highest package ranges over 3cr , median package of 11lpa,average package of 9-10lpa I'm not sure but accurate data

And the students here are very good and understanding and supporting

I disliked the atmosphere in the city dhanbad
I didn't like the mess food here in the hostels

Civil Engineering course is very good for the people who have intrest in it. This course is very interesting and passionating. Classes are less as compared to other branches . Labs are less and quick.

IIT dhanbad the untold story

Likes

This college has wonderful staff they teach very well and the fests are really wonderful.you wont get bored in the campus.
the infrastructure of the campus is really execllent.
the labs which will be conducted are very useful for your future.

Dislikes

the rules will be very strict and you will be debared for small reasons.
the subjects will be very hard and hard to get good grade.
there will be huge competition to get good grade.

the placement rate depends on branch.some branches like cse,ese will have a high placement rate and for small branches like mechanical and chemical will have less placements .the highest package is around 60lpa.

First year experience in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

Likes

The campus is very clean and green. The environment is nice here. Infrastructure is also good but can be better through some improvements. The lecture halls are nice too. Labs are also good but need ACs to be installed.
Library is extremely well equipped and studying / reading area is also good.Wifi speed is great but can be even better .
The curriculum is impressive and the professors are par excellence. They teach really well. Exams are also good and overall course structure is also nice

Dislikes

There should be a bigger gym facility or gyms in girls hostel.
The gender ratio is 7:1 .The girls are less in number like other IITs but it is not much problem as the teaching facility is very supportive.
There are a lot of dogs in the campus who sometimes make the place dirty too.

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for campus placements after 7th semester that ends in December. The fourth year students go for placements while the second and third year students take part for internships and PPOs. There were many huge companies that came in this campus placement season. Some of them were - Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Accenture, Squarepoint capital, Exonnmobile, Texas instruments, ONGC, PhonePe, Intel , Sprinkle, Bajaj auto, etc. The highest offer made was by Squarepoint capital worth 66 LPA. The highest no. Of offers were from Microsoft, 16 in number. The average package CTC was 25.48 LPA. Many students also got places through PPOs and offcampus offers too. I am pursuing B.Tech. in mining engineering so my future plan after getting the degree is to go for PSUs.

Likes

i liked in colllage is the clean roads and neat calss rooms
in my clg there will nice infrastucture and clean
and proffs are well educated and good and friendly

Dislikes

Things is disliked is lab are very far from the hostel
and this north india food is not nice and not tasted good
ragginfg id the most disliked thing in the clg

Placement Experience:

yes placements in my collage is very good and nice and effective 7 th semster students are eligible for the placements and commppanies are very good and high offerd pakages and avg package is 15lakhs per year

THE IIT ISM DHANBAD EXPERIENCE

Likes

there is a good relationship with alumni and seniors. They help in various things like getting into clubs referals for interships and jobs and guiding through the courses.
the campus quite large and the maintenance is great, clean and green. faculty is good and the library is vast. It is Asia's second largest library filled with all types of books including fictional and newspapers etc.
students have freedom to pursue any field or sports. Faculty is supportive and helps with students interests and study environment is great too. Labs are good and are equipped with modern equipment

Dislikes

There is intime for hostels for both girls and boys. students should be in hostel before 12AM
the girls to boys is quite small and imbalanced
food in mess not so good. Curries like aloo, palak are bad. Some days it is good enough to eat

Placement Experience:

recession year is going on right now so placements for students is not great now. although in mining sector it is not that bad, the average package is still good but percentage of students getting placed had decreased. It is definitely not permanent and the percentage will gradually increse

My campus life

Likes

I love the campus life here. There are many food outlets here. We get food at subsidised prices. They are also many sports facilities here. We have basketball, football, volleyball, cricket etc
I love how friendly the professors are. They help us not only academically but also in our personal problems.

Dislikes

I don't like the culture of senior and junior here. Here junior have to do everything their senior tell them to.

Students can apply for placement in their seventh semester. Many companies come to our college like Google, microsoft, amazon,uber etc. almost fifty percent students got placed this year . Highest package was of sixty six lakh per annum and lowest was of sizlx lakh per annum.
