Likes
- Personally i like the campus of mine college. The greenery and the buildings. The infrastructure of pur college. Since IIT ISM DHANBAD has legacy in education and moreover. 100th century of our college will be in 2026. The legacy of 100 years.
- The faculty of our college are highly qualified and they know how to teach complex things in easier way
- So in our college in one semester we have 2 exams mid semester and end semester exams also quizzes and practicals labs
Dislikes
- I personally disliked the attendance policy of our college.(75%)
- Some professors are very strict. We can not come late in their class.
- The exams are relatively tougher. One need to study from the starting of semester.
Course Curriculum Overview
Thr curriculum of my course i.e. in electronics and communication engineering is well structured. Each semester we have two exams one mid semester and then end semester examination also we have quizzes and practical labs.
Internships Opportunities
Intern season starts after 2nd year or at the beginning of 5th semester. Different companies come for both tech roles as well as core jobs. And mostly are available for all branches. So one should not only be in cse for applying for software role.
Placement Experience
So students after 7th semester becomes eligible for applying for on campus as well as off campus placements in our college. Almost every software as well as core companies come to our college for e.g. google ,amazon, samsung, texas instruments, goldman sachs, axella etc.Almost 80% gets placed on campus. I want to go software side.
Fees and Financial Aid
In our college we pay fees semester wise. And moreover for categories there is scholarship as well as concession on fees. For general category semestee fees is nearly 1,30,000 including tuition fees, mess fees and hostel fees. And for SC/ST students their tuition fees are exempted. And for OBC category there is a family income criteria.
Campus Life
In our college we have number of fests. Starting from tech fest "CONCETTO".in this fest mainly focuses on techie activities such as hackathons robotics etc. Then the cultural fest " SRIJAN" we have no of differenr activities from comedy to dance to music to archery everything. Also we have no. of clubs like photography club, dance club, music club, tech club, finance club, shahri club etc.
Hostel Facilities
So we have different hostels for differenr years and we dont have co-ed hostels. In one room 2 student lives. We have separate cupboard, study table, chair in a room. And common washrooms in a floor. Meal quality is average but one should eat it. Like menu is repeated for a whole week. Registration process is after josaa counselling. Hotels are available outside our campus near railway station.
Admission
Personally i choose this college because of the legacy of this college and i also have interest in electronics and communication side. This branch is available in very few IITs. So i choose this college. Admission process is through jee advanced then josaa counselling. Cutoffs of my branch as compares to other branches is high.
Faculty
We have good number of professors for a same course. The faculties are no doubt highly qualified. Mostly had done their graduation from IITs and NITs. I personally like my analog circuit mam.i m impressed by her teaching style.
Night Life
Like gym is open for all girls and boys and for all years (first, second etc) we can do gym from 6 am to 9 pm . Cafeterias are open like from morning to late night. Library is also open from morning to late night. And during exams the time of library has increased. Hostel timings are like 1 am. Hangout places such as park, mall, waterfall etc.
