CU Jharkhand Scholarships: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 98 Reviews

The university offers a range of scholarships facilitated primarily through various state and central government programs. Key scholarship programs include E-Kalyan for students from Jharkhand, with a typical value of INR 15,000 per annum, and other state scholarships such as those from Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. National scholarships from different central government departments are also available for meritorious students. There is a notable absence of direct university-provided scholarships, though fee waivers and freeships are available for economically weaker students.

These waivers can cover up to 80% of tuition fees. The tuition fees per semester generally range from INR 10,000 to INR 50,000, with total program costs varying significantly by course, e.g., an integrated UG and PG course in Environmental Sciences costs INR 150,000 for five years. Additional costs include hostel and mess fees, which are affordable compared to other universities. Notably, SC/ST students can benefit from government schemes that cover tuition and hostel fees.

No on-campus employment opportunities are mentioned, but banks facilitate easy access to education loans.
